We had the good fortune of connecting with Porcsha Lloyd and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Porcsha, we’d love to hear more about how you thought about starting your own business?
Starting my own business wasn’t just about selling products — it was about purpose. I wanted to create something that reflected who I am at the core: faith-filled, passionate, and committed to empowering women. What started with a desire to offer stylish, comfortable clothing turned into a calling — to pour into women, build confidence, and show that you can walk purposefully with God at the center. My thought process was simple: use what’s in my hands and trust God for the rest.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
My career is rooted in both passion and purpose. I’m the founder of Kute & Komfi Boutique, a lifestyle brand that offers stylish, comfortable fashion for women — but it’s so much more than clothes. Over time, the brand evolved into a faith-based platform where I encourage, empower, and walk alongside women on their journey — in life, business, and purpose.

What sets me apart is that I lead with faith in everything I do. I don’t just sell a product — I offer an experience rooted in confidence, healing, and alignment with God. From creating the Faith-Fueled Entrepreneurship Journal, to hosting the More Than A Treat Social Event, every piece of my brand reflects the deeper mission: helping women walk boldly in what God has called them to do.

Getting here wasn’t easy. There were moments of doubt, financial strain, and seasons of feeling unseen — but I learned to trust God’s timing, lean into prayer, and be obedient even when it was uncomfortable. I also had to let go of perfection and realize that progress is still purpose. One of the biggest lessons I’ve learned is that success isn’t always loud — sometimes it’s in the quiet “yes” when no one’s watching.

What I want the world to know about me and my brand is that everything I create comes from a place of love, intentionality, and purpose. Whether it’s a journal, a dress, or an event — it’s designed to speak to the heart of the woman who needs to be reminded that she’s called, seen, and capable.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
If my best friend came to visit, oh we’re making it a whole vibe! I’d definitely create a week full of good eats, great conversation, and memorable moments — because I’m a foodie at heart and I love a place with great energy.

We’d kick things off in Lower Greenville — grabbing some of the best ice cream in town and maybe a slice of pizza to go with it. From there, we’d head over to West Village for a cute stroll and the most tasty Thai food — perfect for catching up and laughing over dinner.

Another day, we’d head to Southlake Town Square for a mix of chic shops and delicious dinner spots — one of my favorite places to wind down while still feeling inspired. Then off to The Colony’s Grandscape — because there’s always something new to see, eat, and explore!

And of course, we’d make a stop at the iconic Shops at Legacy West — food hall included (because, yes… need I say more?) It’s giving stylish eats, rooftop vibes, and a little luxury — all in one place.

At the end of the day, for me, it’s all about creating moments that feel joyful, soul-filling, and connected. Food, faith, fun — and a little bit of retail therapy. That’s how we do it!

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
Absolutely — I wouldn’t be where I am without the covering and guidance of God, first and foremost. Every step I’ve taken in business and in life has been fueled by prayer, faith, and divine alignment. I also have to shout out my husband — his encouragement, patience, and unwavering belief in me have been a steady force through every season.

To my family and close friends who have shown up, prayed with me, and reminded me of who I am when I was unsure of myself, at times, thank you. I’m also grateful for the business communities and mentorship spaces I’ve been part of, including the cohorts with Our Shared Journeys and Frost Bank, which created space for me to grow personally and professionally.

And lastly, to every woman who has shared her story with me, attended an event, supported the journal, or shopped with Kute & Komfi Boutique — you are deeply appreciated. You’ve helped me walk in purpose, and I carry your support with me every step of the way.
