We had the good fortune of connecting with Peyton Pickett and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Peyton, what do you attribute your success to?
Of course my clients are the backbone of my business, but I attribute my success to the overwhelming amount of support I receive from my family, friends, and my community! My family has done nothing but support my business and dreams from day one, and my community is full of loving and supportive individuals who really help me not only to be successful, but to have confidence in what I do.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
I take great pride in my personal art and creativity, and I’m just incredibly lucky to have the opportunity to share my art with the world! I specialize in cinematic storytelling – the goal of each of my shoots is to make sure my subject (whether it be an individual, couple, family, etc.) translates authentically through their images. I capture your true personality and beauty in a way that showcases my clients exactly as they are in the moment. It took a lot of work and practice to get where I am today, and the grind doesn’t stop here! I learn something new during every single shoot and never want to stop growing and adapting my business to offer the most personal and authentic experience to each client.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
If I ever have any free time (which isn’t a lot – I have two full time jobs plus kids!), you’ll find me in downtown Denton! My perfect day would start in the morning, reading a great book on the courthouse lawn. I might grab a coffee from Jupiter House and do some shopping at Old Bear Vintage or Recycled Books, then head down to Graffiti Pasta for some DELICIOUS lunch. Then I’ll pop over to Free Play and lose myself in some funky vintage arcade game. There truly is no shortage of things to do and discover in Denton!

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I’d love to dedicate this shoutout to my wonderful husband, Justin. He’s spent countless hours handing the household and our daughters all by himself while I’m away on shoots and has never once complained or made me feel guilty for chasing my dreams. He’s my biggest fan and just the best partner I could have ever asked for!
