We had the good fortune of connecting with Payton Clynch & Mikayla Graham and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Payton Clynch, can you share a quote or affirmation with us?
“Time never exists in it’s own, it’s what happens in it. You have to shape it to give it meaning.” -Esther Perel

I came across Esther Perel in April of 2020, a few weeks into the COVID-19 pandemic. I had been looking for new therapy podcasts to listen to while I organized every drawer and cabinet in my home. March of 2020 our industry (among many others) was brought to an almost immediate halt. I had been anxiously waiting to get the “all clear” to head back into the studio with clients. I remember thinking to my self after hearing the above quote, “just because this wasn’t apart of your plan, doesn’t mean it can’t be productive for the business”. It truly helped shift my mindset during a very unsure and stressful time period. Hearing Esther’s words felt like opening a deeper understanding to sayings such as, “time heals all wounds”, “just give it time” & “in due time”. I felt like I had a better grasp on what it meant to make the best use of my time that I had. It impacted both my professional and personal life. I actually have the quote tattooed down my spine.

What should our readers know about your business?
Panther City Ink is a female owned and operated tattoo studio in Fort Worth, Texas. We prioritize client comfort, communications, and aftercare with each individual appointment. We like to refer to ourselves as a boutique tattoo studio.

Starting, running, and continuing to grow a business is definitely not for the faint of heart. When answering the question, “ Was it easy?” I can honestly say no. However, it’s always been worth it. Nothing great comes to fruition without struggle or frustration.

Throughout the growth of this studio we have navigated with grace, understanding and kindness always. Any challenges that have come our way, come to a resolve via open and clear communication.

Our goals at Panther City Ink are to create a comfortable environment for clients, provide the best possible customer experience, provide clients with the tools they need to heal their new work of art and create meaningful connections throughout the duration of their appointments.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
We would definitely go hang out at The Rabbit Hole pub for a drink, visit Istanbul Grill, Dans BBQ, and Coco Shrip for a good bite, and spend an afternoon at the new Meow Wolf in Grapevine for some fun!

I want to dedicate this shoutout to my family. To my mom, we wouldn’t be here if it wasn’t for you and your wonderful ideas. This wouldn’t have happened without your support. To my dad, thank you for believing in me at 19 and continuing to believe in me now. To my brother , I encourage you to continue perusing a creative career. You’re the real talent in this family. I love you guys.
