We had the good fortune of connecting with Parthi B. Patel and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Parthi B., what matters most to you?
To me, the value of ‘family’ is paramount. It’s a deeply personal belief that has shaped my life and my approach to everything I do. Family is where I learned some of my most significant life lessons. It’s where I experienced love, support, and sometimes, challenges. These experiences shaped who I am. Family has taught me about resilience, empathy, and the power of connection. It’s where I first learned the importance of self-care and self-love. And, realistically, it’s also where I’ve seen how issues like anxiety, depression, and trauma can affect those we care about.

I’ve realized that prioritizing family isn’t just a personal choice; it’s a reflection of my dedication to realistic mental health. By nurturing strong, healthy family relationships, we can address many of the challenges people face in life. It’s about being present, offering support, and helping each other grow. It is at the core of who I am. It’s a principle that matters most to me because it is the foundation of my personal and professional growth.

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
Intentional Therapy is a passion and a commitment to making a difference in the world of mental health. What sets us apart is our focus on realistic and non-traditional mental health. We understand that life is complex, and it’s okay to not be perfect. We emphasize self-care, self-love, and being present in the moment. We prioritize family and relationships, recognizing their profound impact on mental well-being. Our approach is a blend of professional expertise and a personal touch.

I’m proud of the team we’ve built at Intentional Therapy, as well as the positive impact we’ve had on the lives of our clients. We’ve created a supportive, inclusive space where individuals from all backgrounds can seek help and grow.

However, the journey to where we are today hasn’t been without its challenges. It’s not been easy, but overcoming obstacles is a part of life. The key is resilience. I’ve faced personal and professional challenges, but each setback has taught me valuable lessons. The importance of adaptability, perseverance, and the power of a strong support system.

What I want the world to know about us is that we’re not just therapists; we’re advocates for mental well-being and realistic mental health. We’re here to make the journey to better mental health accessible and meaningful. Our story is one of growth, compassion, and the pursuit of a healthier, more connected world. We’re excited about the future and the positive impact we can continue to make.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
When it comes to who I am today and what I’ve achieved, I attribute a significant part of the credit to my parents. They’ve been the pillars of support.

My parents have instilled in me the values of empathy, compassion, and the importance of family. They provided a nurturing environment. They’ve been there during both the good and challenging times, teaching me about resilience and the power of being present.

It’s their belief in me that fueled my drive to become a Licensed Professional Counselor and start Intentional Therapy. Their love and encouragement shaped who I am, both personally and professionally.

So, in my story, my parents deserve a heartfelt shoutout and recognition. They are the unsung heroes behind the scenes, and I wouldn’t be where I am today without their love and guidance.
