Hi Othashia, we’d love to hear about how you approach risk and risk-taking
Taking risk to me is a factor of life. Risk is what has helped and guided me start up and pursue myself as a business owner. When taking risk, you really have to have a go getter attitude. Itdoes make you feel uncomfortable at times but you just have to believe in yourself and value as well. Taking risk has guided me in so many things and taught me so much about myself than I can ever imagine. Taking risk has played a huge part/ role in my life and business as well.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
Professionally, I was able to reach out to my potential clientele by doing a lot of social media marketing. Whether it’s was Instagram, Facebook, photo-shoots, and also face to face marketing to gain clientele. Of course, it wasn’t easy trying to overcome these challenges while trying to maintain a professional business as well. I’ve overcame my challenges by praying and trusting in god to clear a path for my to accomplish the goals and succeed in all expectations in my life. My lessons I would advise is by doing proper research, preparing myself for trials and error, believing in myself with positive outcomes. For my brand which is Makeup By Othashia and Kg Candle Design Co. I want to the world to know about myself and my brand would be aiming to produce exotic product for both male and female. With my candle business while establishing exotic scents. Our goal being a MUA has been my top priority. I truly believe by bringing both of my business together would forecast my true work of art.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
We will definitely head to Crab Station. I love seafood so much like seriously. Crabs legs, octopus, and oysters are my fave. Most fun for us to adventure will be the Candle Bar Dallas they teach you how to make your own candles with their custom blend fragrances. It’s such a fun and creative experience. Also, in addition we will have to check out the Soirée Coffee Bar in Downtown Dallas. The vibe of the coffee shop is a wonderful experience with a great atmosphere on the weekends they have a live band that plays jazz music. While you get to dine in and enjoy your beverages and food. It’s very relaxing.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
Yes, I will like to give a special shout and recognition to my four year old daughter Kennedi. She’s the true definition of a sunshine on a rainy day. What I love about her she’s has a wonderful spirit. She’s very ambitious, smart, intelligent, a quick learner, and also very loving and caring. She’s has motivated me so much to do better and want better. Also, most importantly God because without faith in him nothing is possible.
