We had the good fortune of connecting with On-Click Closet and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi OnClickCloset, what was your thought process behind starting your own business?
With enough exposure to understand various fashion practices, including handicrafts and sustainable fashion, I realised the pace of this practices isn’t keeping up with the creative pace of the next generation. That’s when I realised how powerful fashion tech and virtual fashion could be. The limitless self-expression inspired me by the endless horizon of creative possibilities, bringing life to all unexplored thoughts and fantasies.

Following my graduation in 2020, my research on expressing fashion indoors and how people are obsessed with showoff looks on social media led me to investigate digital fashion and begin diving into it. That was the time to go back down the rabbit hole, learn how to create digital fashion, including software and web3, and emerge as an Indian Digital Fashion Designer.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
For me, the most dreamy thing is to make someone wear an outfit that does not exist in the physical world. I started with the idea of having a wardrobe for fantasy thoughts and imagination. The foundation of my work at On-Click Closet is storytelling, which allows users to connect with and experience the thought behind the art. As I was exposed to various arts throughout my journey, I began to consider cultural integration in the metaverse and web3 space. I am looking forward to delivering and bringing Indian culture to the web3 space as part of my digital fashion journey.

My ability to thrive in my career is due to a lot of daily hustling to keep an open eye on the community. It wasn’t easy, of course. However, being around emerging artists and communities and supporting them is the best way for me to ease the process. This aids in the discovery of true interests as well as the advancement of my skill set. Though learning never stops, it has been a daily challenge for me to get through something. Playing around with the software, experimenting with different techniques, deleting practice files, and redoing them, everything helped me push my limits.

Learning inputs are easily visible in my work at On-Click Closet. The goal of becoming a premium Indian brand in the digital fashion space entails many milestones, and I am working very hard to achieve it. We have a lot of client projects right now to create digital fashion pieces, virtual fits, and AR fashion. On-Click Closet has its own NFTs on various marketplaces with a wide range of screen-wear. The brand intends to enable cultural integration in the metaverse with multiple utilities in building endeavors.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
I’d like to visit Spatial metaverse art galleries with my best friend, and I usually do! There are numerous seamless virtual galleries available to explore and experience the arts. This allows you to connect with global designers, broadening your perspective on human behaviors and ideologies. We can talk about art and possibly get clicked together! It seems like my kind of fun!

Other enjoyable and fascinating visits to the Decentraland Metaverse. The party lounge and immersive experience with incredible clothing styles are unforgettable!

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
The Clo3d Community and relevant YouTubers deserve a shoutout in my story because they selflessly allow education to be accessed and learned from. I started with a YouTube channel called ‘Daniel’ to learn about garment construction, and his method of teaching is extremely simple, detailed, and efficient for getting started in digital fashion.

Concerning the fundamentals of Web3 and fashion technology, the brand “The Fabricant” is the ideal place to evolve and advance in the Web3 fashion space. Their strategies for getting involved and participating as an individual artist, as well as the live practice sessions and community spaces, were extremely helpful in fueling my enthusiasm for digital fashion.
