We had the good fortune of connecting with Omotola And Ade Maradesa and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Omotola and Ade, we’d love to hear more about how you thought about starting your own business?
The thought process behind starting our business came during a time of stillness. I was on medical leave, unsure of what was next, and looking for something meaningful. As I spent time with my now-husband—who’s also my business partner—he noticed how naturally event planning came to me. I had always helped friends with showers and birthdays, and he encouraged me to take it seriously. After praying about it and reflecting, I realized this could be purpose, not just a passion.

We took a step of faith, registered the business, and started building. And now, every time a client walks into their event beaming with joy or sends us a heartfelt thank-you afterward, it reminds us why we started. It’s deeply fulfilling to be part of those special moments and to know we played a role in bringing someone’s vision to life.

Starting our own business wasn’t about having it all figured out—it was about trusting God, following peace, and taking one step of faith at a time.

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
We’re a husband-and-wife duo who plan weddings, birthdays, graduations, showers, and milestone celebrations with a personal touch. What sets us apart is how proactive we are—we often anticipate what our clients need before they even ask. We bring calm, clarity, and genuine care into every event we touch.

The business is still growing, and the journey hasn’t always been smooth. But with each event, we’ve learned to stay consistent, lead with heart, and build real relationships. What keeps us going is the feeling we get when a client walks into their event glowing with joy or sends us a heartfelt thank-you after. That moment right there—that’s what it’s all about.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
Dallas mixes great food, culture, and friendly vibes. For a perfect week in Dallas, I will suggest:

Eat: Start with brunch at Bread Winners and BBQ at Pecan Lodge,Dinner at Lucia.

Explore: Stroll Klyde Warren Park, visit the Dallas Museum of Art, and wander the artsy Deep Ellum and Bishop Arts District.

Views & Vibes: Catch city views from Reunion Tower, bike the Margaret Hunt Hill Bridge, and enjoy live music at The Rustic or Truck Yard.

Day Trip: Visit Grapevine for wineries and charming shops.

For Shopping: The Galleria Dallas and NorthPark Center

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
My first shoutout goes to my husband—my partner in life and in business. From the very beginning, he saw something in me that I hadn’t fully embraced myself. He encouraged me to take the leap, and he’s been right beside me building this dream, one event at a time. His support, wisdom, and belief in both of us has made all the difference.

I also want to recognize our community—friends who gave us a chance in the early days, clients who trusted us with their most special moments, and fellow vendors who embraced and collaborated with us. Every kind word, referral, and opportunity has helped shape our story, and we’re truly grateful.
