We had the good fortune of connecting with Omar Omar and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Omar, is there something that you feel is most responsible for your success?
The most important factor behind my success would be my hard work and determination. The determination to be better every day and the hard work to improve my business to be able to go beyond my expectations. As a business owner, you are faced with many struggles that I believe are bound to happen in any retail business, however, it is up to you to know how you are going to face and fix each one. As I was becoming the business owner that I am today, I took these struggles as an opportunity to learn from them and fix the issues so that those mistakes did not reoccur and to continue promoting a healthier business environment for my employees and my customers. As a business owner, my goal is not only to sell my product but to provide my customers the quality and satisfaction that they deserve at an affordable price.

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
When you hear of Omar’s Wheels and Tires, many people automatically assume we are just any local wheel and tire business located in Dallas, Texas. However, at Omar’s Wheels and Tires, we are one of the largest retail shops dedicated to provide customers with over 1000+ selections in all custom wheel brands and tires that can be found in stock and without the hassle of having to pre-order and make the customer wait. Becoming a business owner was not easy at all, I was faced with many challenges and was forced to work daily with no set schedules so that my business could run better each day. The only way to face these challenges as a business owner is to stay positive and this was one of the lessons I learned as I started my business. Anything is achievable as long as you are mentally and physically positive regardless of the outcome.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
With the long hours that are put into work every day my free time is usually dedicated to Dallas nightlife. You can find me enjoying fine dining at local Dallas restaurants such as Nick & Sam’s, Bob’s Steakhouse, and the most recent Nusr-Et. Other activities would include attending sporting events that support our Dallas sports teams who have also supported me and my business. When it comes to the holidays I usually treat my employees to a fun outing such as Top-Golf or Shenaniganz to enjoy time spent with them and to show my gratification for their hard work and dedication at Omar’s Wheels and Tires.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
Coming into this country as an immigrant at only 9 years old without my parents to nurture me was really hard, however, I used that to push myself through every obstacle I was faced with on the way to success. I would like to dedicate this shoutout to my loyal customers for always trusting me and my shop to provide them with the best quality work that they deserve. My friends and customers are who support my business verbally and through social media, thanks to them I have customers who come from all over the country to purchase their products at Omar’s Wheels and Tires, and that to me speaks a lot. Last but not least my team, working together in order to have a proper game plan that will provide our customers with a satisfying purchase.
