We had the good fortune of connecting with Norah Shazad and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Norah, how do you think about risk?
I believe risk is essential to growth, as long as you’re being smart about it. To me, taking risks isn’t about being reckless; it’s about being intentional, prepared, and willing to step outside your comfort zone when it counts. You can’t make real progress, especially financially, without some level of investment and most investments come with risk. That’s just the reality of building something meaningful.

With A3 Central, every move, whether it’s launching a new product line, hosting an event, or investing in design, has involved risk. But those risks have pushed me to be sharper, more resourceful, and more confident in my vision. I’ve learned that risk, when calculated and backed by purpose, isn’t something to fear, it’s something to use.

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
A3 Central is more than just a business to me—it’s a reflection of who I am. It brings together modestwear, poetry, and craftsmanship in a way that feels both creative and deeply intentional. What makes A3 different is the heart behind everything we do. Every design, every product, every piece of writing carries meaning. It’s not just about creating things, it’s about creating with purpose.

One of the things I’m most proud of is how A3 has become a space where people can feel seen—whether it’s through a poem that resonates with their journey or clothing that reflects both their values and style. I’m also really excited about the direction we’re heading, especially as we lean more into modestwear that feels timeless and bold.

Getting to this point definitely wasn’t easy. There were moments of doubt, financial stress, and a lot of learning curves. But I pushed through because I believed in the vision, and I had the support of my loved ones who reminded me why I started. Through it all, I’ve learned how important it is to stay grounded in your purpose, be patient with your growth, and never underestimate the power of community.

At the core of A3 Central is legacy—it’s inspired by my late father, who used to call me his light from the heavens. That love and meaning is woven into everything I create. I want people to know that A3 is about more than products. It’s about connection, reflection, and creating something that truly lasts.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
If my best friend came to Dallas, I’d make sure we hit all the best halal-friendly spots and experiences. We’d start with brunch at Hot Chikn Kitchn or Samosa Haus, then relax at Klyde Warren Park or stroll through the Dallas Museum of Art.

One day would be all about Deep Ellum—checking out the murals, grabbing coffee from a local café, and ending the night with halal wings or sliders from Sky Rocket Burger (they have a halal option).

For something scenic, we’d head to White Rock Lake or the Dallas Arboretum for nature and vibes. Dinner would be at Sahara Grill, Big Guys Chicken & Rice, or Baboush—all with great halal menus.

We’d also stop by Legacy West or Bishop Arts District for shopping, dessert, and the overall creative atmosphere. It would be a week filled with good food, connection, and creative inspiration.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I’d like to dedicate my shoutout to my family—especially my mother and my late father. Their love, sacrifices, and belief in me have shaped everything I do. My father may no longer be here, but his words and presence continue to guide me. I also want to recognize my friends who show up for me every day, encouraging me, supporting my work, and reminding me why I started. I’m deeply grateful for each of them.
