We had the good fortune of connecting with Nicolette Canady and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Nicolette, can you walk us through the thought-process of starting your business?
I started Serenity & Success because prior to this, I owned a credit repair company while also working a full time job. It was also my daughters senior year in high school so I was completely stressed trying to do everything alone. I was overworked and overwhelmed. I discovered automations and quickly started implementing them into my business. For each task automated, I was reclaiming my time and life back! Eventually, I shifted all of my focus into learning automations and helping others implement them into their business as well. I became obsessed with feeling more balanced within my business and wanted other women to feel the same piece of mind within their businesses. I’m now on a mission to help other women scale their businesses to success with my strategies, systems and automated processes.
What should our readers know about your business?
Serenity & Success is a systems and automations company that focuses on back-end support, automating processes and email marketing for small businesses. What sets me apart from others is my passion and authenticity. I truly take an interest in all of my clients and for me, it’s not about just getting them a desired result. Not only do we achieve your desired results, we also help you obtain a better balance in business and a piece of mind. Mental health is important for me so this is my way of contributing to positive mental health while doing what I love.
I’ve also learned to slow down so that I can embrace all parts of the journey, understanding that this will serve as someone’s guide one day.
This journey hasn’t been easy but I truly appreciate the challenge and in all ways that it’s shaped and prepared me for my next level.
Serenity & Success isn’t just a business, it’s a lifestyle. It’s a way of living your ultimate balanced life while achieving your wildest dreams of success. It’s the best of both worlds.
If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
So, if my best friend came to visit the city, I know we’re going to get some good food. Some of those places would include Kitchen & Cocktails, Mexican Sugar, HayWire and of course some good seafood to name a few. As far as visiting, we’d definitely be at the Dallas Galleria doing some shopping and Grand Luz afterwards for a good drink. Most people love to visit downtown so I would probably take her there and maybe slide to Vidorra because it’s always a vibe there. Since we’re downtown, may as well go to a couple of bars no more than 2. I’m not a big drinker lol. Afterwards, I would probably call my cousin to see what the night time play is because I don’t go out much so I have no idea where to go but I promise to be a good host. If we don’t go to a club, then I’d definitely want to go play an interactive game just to keep it live or go do karaoke.
The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
My mom gets a great deal of the credit. She’s been a boss all my life so I had an awesome role model to look up to. All my life, she pushed me to know that there was something within me that was different and I shouldn’t take advantage of it. She always challenged me to read books and participate in activities that enhanced my personal development. Because of that, I’ve always been disciplined and worked harder than most for what I wanted in life.
