We had the good fortune of connecting with Nicole Willis and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Nicole, let’s talk legacy – what do you want yours to be?
My aspiration is to be remembered for my dedication to caring for others through my personal and professional life. The Afternoon Tea Hour celebrates and invites others into a cherished tradition that is centered around community and care. Elegant, elevated, and intention is the formula with which I seek to exceed the expectations of each attendee, and create a truly unforgettable experience that gives space for connection.

The Afternoon Tea Hour expresses care for others through allocating a portion of the proceeds from all events to various charitable organizations on a rotating basis. I hope to expand the impact through fundraising events in the near future.

Truly, more than what I may be remembered for, I am more concerned with continuing to care for others well now, today, to the best of my ability.
These values are at the heart of The Afternoon Tea Hour and it is my belief that by creating these special moments, I can contribute to the connection and care of others, one delightful afternoon at a time.

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
Elegant, elevated, and intentional events, that’s what sets The Afternoon Tea Hour apart. I truly appreciate the tradition of afternoon tea and honor it while being mindful of the environment and including elements exclusive to The Afternoon Tea Hour.

I fell in love with afternoon tea years ago on a trip to England, where I delved into its rich history and developed a profound admiration for how tea seamlessly intertwines with everyday life, often accompanied by a social aspect. This experience ignited the creation of a tea blog, where my primary goal is to share honest reviews of tea houses in an effort to assist others in having the best tea experience possible.

Drawing from numerous tea house experiences and background in restaurants, and I’m driven to curate a lovely and memorable experience for others while serving food options that align with my standards. Only organic fruits, vegetables, sandwich bread, and juices are served as well as locally baked or home made desserts and pastries.

I’m excited to continue developing The Afternoon Tea Hour by creating elegant, elevated, and intentional private events for clients, whether in the delightful setting of a picnic, their chosen venue, or the comfort of their homes.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
Our plans would definitely include the Dallas Arboretum, the Meadows Museum, Twelve Hills Nature Park, Museum of Biblical Art, a Rangers or Jackals game, Federales, Tea at the Adolphus, Casablanca, Leela’s, Truck Yard, and Cidercade.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
My faith has been the one consistent driver. I look forward to continuing to care for others in my personal life and through my business as long as God will allow.

I have to shoutout two people, my mother who’s been incredibly supportive and my friend Michelle from @thebobtomytea. They’ve both been instrumental in The Afternoon Tea Hour’s creation and events.
