We had the good fortune of connecting with Neetu Rishi and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Neetu, what was your thought process behind starting your own business?
4 years ago when I moved to the United States from India with a 2 decade of experience, I knew that I had to start from Ground Zero again. When people start planning for early retirement, I was planning a whole new career. But that did not stop me. I wrote down four questions with their answers 1. What’s my passion? 2. What are my skills and strengths? 3.What can I be paid for? 4. What does the world need? The timeline which will take me on the cover page of Forbes looked a journey of almost 10 years. And a thought took birth, ” I wish I started early” And then I decided to nurture this thought and made a purpose which can help the world and leave me with a contented life. And was born this PASSIONPRENEUR, I love to call myself this because I made my passion my profession.

The journey was crooked, but my determination of being the driver of my own life kept me going. Honed my skills and won speech contests almost 25 times, committed myself to some challenges like reading 52 books a year, learning 365 quotes a year, learning about 365 leaders a year, listening to 365 ted talks a year, and a few more. Also did few certifications for added value. Finally, I was ready to launch my business by the name, The Success Door which caters to all walks of life for their personal and professional growth. I did not want to leave any stone unturned for spreading my knowledge garnished with my experience, so I published a book titled, A Different Monday. Also launched my YouTube channel- by the name, Neetube. I love the fact that social media gives me a chance to stay connected with the world, I want someone to say that because of you I didn’t give up. I want each one to learn how to be the architect of their own life.

Please tell us more about your business. We’d love to hear what sets you apart from others, what you are most proud of or excited about. How did you get to where you are today business-wise. Was it easy? If not, how did you overcome the challenges? What are the lessons you’ve learned along the way. What do you want the world to know about you or your brand and story?
My business name, The Success Door revolves around the overall personal and personality development for not only youth but adults too. My signature program, Young Entrepreneurs in Making is helping our young generation to learn real-life skills whether its effective communication strategies, learning interpersonal skills, developing leadership habits, and a few more. Once a student completes five levels of this program, he/she is ready to launch a business. A few of my students have already launched one and have been on Ted talks too. Besides this I also help students in becoming a published author, the program is called, “Discover the Author in You”, where I take 25 students each other and help them in their journey. Being the Director for Youth Education at Dale Carnegie, I also conduct a program for young adults by the name, Generation Next. For Adults, the signature program is ” High Impact Mentorship” where I navigate adults to walk smoothly on the path which leads them to be who they desire to be. More programs can be checked upon at Thesuccessdoor.com.

I am most proud of listening from parents of kids that, my child does not want to miss your class ever, or my child just wants to be with you the entire life under your mentorship. Where I’m today, honestly it was not easy, it’s just a one-year-old business but I have taken it to great heights due to which I have been featured in almost 10 different platforms, interviewed almost 7 times at some of the great channels including NTV Houston and most importantly I was awarded as the Outstanding Entrepreneur Award 2020 this year.

Each day starts with a challenge and by the sunset time it becomes an experience and a life lesson. I just want to convey the world that find your passion, do what you love to do, and make it your profession. If each one is happy in doing what they do, they will be productive and would be able to add value to this world and that will make this world a better place to live.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
If my best friend is visiting me, I would want to give them a memorable experience and it’s a week-long trip I would love to plan it this way

Day-1 I would rent an RV, find a location midst of the jungle where we could chit chat, cherish our memories, maybe look at our old pictures, cook together and spend the day.

Day-2 Would go out for hiking and trying out some child-like stuff, climbing trees, playing around, etc.

Day-3 Do some photoshoots or make some vlogs followed by camping and gazing at the stars at night.

Day-4 Come back and keep the day lazy being on the couch watching movies and listening to our favorite music.

Day 5- Time to do some adventure, so will plan to go for skydiving and fight with the fears.

Day 6- This is the day when I would give pause, find a quiet place, I love the Hall park in Frisco for this, pack some food from the Cheesecake factory which I love, grab a spot and go into discussions on understanding and listening to her life stories and sharing mine, that’s what friends are for.

Day-7- Time to go, feels sad but if we don’t depart, how will we get excited to meet again. So life goes on, lets live each moment till we meet again. There are many good locations to visit in the city but my favorites are Fort Worth downtown, Grapevine Lake, Grapevine Old downtown, Andrew Brown Park, I love nature trails more.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I would love to give shootout to all my mentors who have paved a way for me always. I would also love to offer gratitude to my family and friends without whom it would have been very difficult to not only launch a business but take to a height where I am now. Last but not the least my utmost thanks to the Almighty for opening up doors of opportunities for me.
