We had the good fortune of connecting with Natalie and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Natalie, what habits do you feel helped you succeed?
Showing up and being consistent has helped me along the way of my accomplishments. Another habit that helps me further my success is the determination and commitment that sets in when I have a goal. As a content creator, posting everyday has become a habit and a passionate hobby of mine. As an accountant, creating good communication and efficiency has also helped me succeed. A couple of recent milestones I’ve accomplished from these habits are receiving my first PR package from Dunkin Donuts due to a TikTok coffee video going viral and getting monetized on TikTok. I started my YouTube channel about 10 years ago and content creation is something I really enjoy. These habits also helped me push through college. I graduated from the University of North Texas (UNT) in 2022 with a Bachelors and Masters in Accounting. I truly believe that if you’re hungry for an achievement and accomplishing goals, you will find a way to get it done.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
Obstacles, everyone has them! I got to where I am today by overcoming some of my own. Once I finished my bachelor program, I accepted my way into the masters program, and got an opportunity for an audit internship at an accounting firm I was thrilled to work at. During this time, my dad passed away from Covid in 2021, and shortly after that, my aunt passed away from Covid as well. This was a distraught time for my family and I. Trying to navigate my emotions and the make it through the master’s program was a challenge for me. Surrealism started to set in. Trying to navigate this challenge, I began my audit internship in January of 2022 and worked at as a barista at one of my favorite coffee shops, 151 Coffee. My true passion of being a barista came out and that was truly one of the best jobs I had. I finished the rest of my graduate program in December 2022 and started full time at the accounting firm I interned at. Throughout that entire journey, I vlogged “day in my life” videos for YouTube and started my TikTok journey. After a few years of corporate accounting, in 2024 I decided to explore the oil and gas industry, as a property accountant where I still work. I also create my content on the side while I work as a professional property accountant. The obstacles I went through were very challenging, however, I’m proof that anything is possible even through the challenges. I overcame the challenges by focusing on my future and having my support system, my family and fiancé. The lessons I learned along the way are life is short, if you want to do something, do it, and if you put in the work, you can get where you want to be. I want to the world to know that you can go through obstacles in life, and still come out as an accomplished human. I want the world to know you should do the things you enjoy because life is short and you only live once.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
First, La Land Land Kind cafe for a morning coffee or matcha. Their coffee shop is cute and the energy is vibrant. The Brunch District in Colleyville, has amazing food and drinks, probably one of my favorite brunch spots and the artwork on the wall is amazing! Cowboys Red River Country Dance Hall is one of my favorite places. It’s great for dancing, drinks, and live music. If you love to people watch, you will be entertained by all drama that ensues. I’ve been a country dancer for over 10 years so this a mandatory stop! The Denton Square is a low-key area to hangout and walk around. There are many restaurants, coffee shops, a candy store and retail shops. On the Denton Square, there is a restaurant called LSA burger, which has some fantastic burgers and garlic parmesan fries! Nothing beats a Jet 2 holiday by sitting on the second floor over looking the square and eating a burger! The Dallas Arts District is an eventful area. They have great museums, food and a park you can take a stroll on. I’m Armenian and Lebanese, so I absolutely love my culture, and recommend Afrah Mediterranean cuisine in north Dallas. It is a delicious restaurant serving large portions and delicious desserts. Al-Amir is another great middle eastern restaurant and night club offering a dance floor, belly dancing and hookah too. Fort Worth Stockyard’s is a must visit given the history of the cattle drive, and Billy Bobs Honky Tonk Country Bar. I will say wear some comfy shoes as there is a ton of walking at the stockyards and lots to see! The best Italian food has to be Cafe Bella in Fort Worth, being a quaint local and family restaurant offering BYOB and no cork fee. Make sure to tell Ms. Eli hello for me when you pop in for a visit. Dallas Fort Worth is known for our food and nightlife, it’s honestly hard to keep track of everything, but there is always something new to try.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
A shoutout to my family and fiancé for being by my side through the highs and lows in achieving my accomplishments. From performing in ballet, dancing my feet off, playing the violin, or acting and modeling, my family encouraged me to keep growing and exploring new hobbies. I grew up in the Armenian Church, and around the age of 5, I started dancing at our annual festival “ArmeniaFest”. My family made it a priority to attend every year and I enjoyed their encouragement by hearing them yell and cheer for me while I danced my heart out in front of large crowds. Even though I changed my mind 1,000 times on hobbies and activities, my family was always there to encourage me. My family and culture is near and dear to my heart and I’m thankful for their love and support throughout my life.

Let’s fast-forward to my senior year of high school. I found a new passion in content creation and launched my YouTube channel. My first video I recorded was a makeup tutorial with the support of my family smiling at me from our living room. After uploading that first video to YouTube, I knew I found a new passion and calling to connect with the world.

Now let’s talk COLLEGE! During the transition to “adulthood”, I was overwhelmed with the thought of what I wanted to do with my life. Since I was unsure with my career path, I went to North Central Texas College and began my college journey with the support of my family. Throughout that time I continued my content creation and I fell back on country dancing. While dancing the nights away, I found my forever dancing partner, rock and now fiancé. Ironically, he was attending North Texas and encouraged me to apply. Shortly after I was accepted, I still had no idea what I wanted to major in. I changed my mind at least 100 times before I dedicated myself to major in Accounting. This is where my content creation progressed as I documented “day in my life” videos and my journey through college. I’m super thankful for his guidance on what professors and classes to take and to avoid. Pursuing our education together had its challenges with late night study grinds and emotional breakdowns, but we picked each other up and walked across the stage with diplomas in hand.

As my love for content creation progressed, I dedicated myself more with filming and editing, and later made a TikTok account too. The encouragement from my parents, brother and fiancé throughout this time was empowering.
