We had the good fortune of connecting with Nacari Mosley and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Nacari, what role has risk played in your life or career?
I will say risk is definitely a big Challenge you have to invest in yourself to really make it far , if you aren’t willing to do that then the road will definitely be hard . Investing in yourself is more a belief, you put everything on the line because you believe in yourself enough to make it back and more after that , it is such a huge risk because you never know sometimes you fail that doesn’t mean give up , challenges will always be there . When I first started I took risk and it didn’t work out for me , but I never quit and eventually My risk of investing and believing in myself took off .

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
It was definitely not easy and it’s still not , I recently suffered a rupture to my brain causing light bleeding I was being in and out of the hospital, crazy headaches yet I still pushed through because I knew this was what I wanted to do . I felt it was important to create my books , website and podcast based on my experiences or the things I seen to help people that may be too afraid to speak , I also talk about mental health how to never be embarrassed nor afraid to talk about it . I just want to help people in ways I had to learn to help myself .

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
I’m a homebody for sure ! Yet if my friends were visiting for a week we would definitely go downtown Houston and ride the scooters ! Downtown is such a beautiful and fun place to be at really anywhere . After downtown we would definitely stop at the galleria one of the biggest malls ever and for lunch try Kelly a country southern food place !

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
Other than my family , I would definitely say two of my friends helped me along the way , mainly Lexi and Tay . They never gave up on me and when I got sick everybody else bailed , everyone else was tired of me always talking about my illness to the point I wouldn’t even discuss it , Tay and Lexi was there through every step of the way and one of the main reasons I’m so successful now . I make sure I tell them every time I can how appreciative I am of them .
