Meet Mystii Marks

We had the good fortune of connecting with Mystii Marks and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Mystii, what do you think makes you most happy? Why?
Being with family and friends. It’s a place where I am most comfortable and they accept me exactly the way I am.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
I started training with Booker T. He crafted his own moves and looked like no one else in the ring. When his music hit you knew exactly who he was with no hesitation. That’s the stamp I think I have. When you hear my music play you know who is about to hit the curtain.

I’m currently trained by
Jazz and Rodney Mac. Two people who looks, wrestle and have a different mindset when it comestowrestling. I definitely learned many things from the both of them and took everything they taught me and applied it to my life and wrestling the best way I could. I honestly think my style is like Jazz. Being trained by her and watching her matches helped me come up with combos and move sets. I’m very rugged and strong in my style of wrestling. I like to think outside the box and craft my own move also. I believe I am a different type of wrestler. My style, look and the way I maneuver is the ring is different.

I’m most proud of my journey and growth from day one til now. No it was not easy. I believe anything you work for in this life is not easy. It will become harder as I rise to the top to achieve becoming one of the best wrestles in the UNIVERSE [PERIOD]. I have so much hope for my future in this business because of my mindset. I think it, work it, then go get it. It all starts with the way you think.

I will become a house hold name. If I continue to do what I’m supposed to, work hard, stay in the gym, put my thinking into action, remember that everything I do is for a reason and with purpose I will get to where I want. The sky is the limit for Mystii Marks.

In my opinion, to be in this business you have to have touch skin. Sometimes you have to let stuff roll off your skin, ignore the HATE and FOCUS on your GOALS. Everything that you do is being watched move for move, word for word. If you keep remembering who you are and where you are going you can overcome any challenge. That has been my story.
I’m most proud of my achievements thus far. I have collected championship all over TEXAS. I have Wrestled big names in this business today along with some legends. I been featured in books, magazines and websites. I’m excited about travelibg tge world and growing. 😌

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
So this would be a extension of a full weekend.

My first place to take them to my favorite brunch spot called Eggcellent. We can watch sports eat and drink, that’s any day of the week. This place has an outside patio. I love taking photos and expressing myself, so going out to the patio for fresh air, photos and drinks would be so much fun.
After drinks depending on the week day we can head on over to the mall or my favorite shopping center. (Walking will help burn off the food and drinks). I could never remember the name of the malls here or shopping center. 😆 (Google Maps is my better friend). My favorite store (some don’t exist anymore) Rainbow, Macy’s, 365 and DD’s Discount just to name a few. If you see any of my outfits I probably got them from one of the stores above. It kind of depends on the vibe my friend wants. Me, I have developed the love for a 2 piece outfit. Their own favorite. 😍
While shopping we can hit the food court for some desert like, ice cream or Cinnabon. Who does love Cinnabon?

After that I think relaxation is in order. Mani, pedi it is. I’ll take her the only nail shop I have been to in San Antonio and they have not let me down. Foot massage, hand massage this place will give you the best service. (Too bad I cannot remember the name of this place. Like I said Google Maps is my friend).

Friday or Saturday we can go to The Blind Tiger Comedy Club OR Luna Night Club. I love a good laugh and inexpensive drinks. Tiger shows case upcoming comedians so you get to see like 10 people try out their set. It usually starts around 12 midnight. It’s pretty cool to see where they come from before they make it BIG. Reminds me of the wrestling business. Everyone starts somewhere.

I also have a open love for dancing. I would dance alone if I have to. I will dance anywhere, the gym, the ring, restaurant ANYWHERE. The world is my dance floor is how I like to think of it. Dancing is just like wrestling it’s a creative and unique form of expression, ART. Even if your off beat you making it your own. Have fun who cares who watching. I always say have fun.

After a full weekend we would end with wine and a Netflix movie at my house. 🤗 More Relaxation 😌

This would be the perfect weekend for me to show my friend around. When I’m not booked to wrestle spending time with friends OR family is important. None of my family lives here so to have them in town is exciting. We making the better of it.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
Shoutout to ME for sticking with it and never stop going. Thanks to everyone who believes in me. Anyone who has brought a ticket, any merchandise, and cheered for me. The promotions who booked me. All wrestlings who vouched for me to be booked. Anyone who has wrote about me, interviewed me or took time out to talk to me. All and I mean every single HATER who keep my name in their mouth to talk bad about me. You have done nothing but make me want to go HARDER. Last but not least, my coaches who have put me in certain situations for me to thrive mentally and physically. I would not be where I am without that. I also will not have the mindset without them also. They have done so much for me.
