Meet Myloh Remora | Experimental Hip Hop Artist

We had the good fortune of connecting with Myloh Remora and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Myloh, why did you decide to pursue a creative path?
Believe it or not! ,it pursued me. I never woke up in the morning thinking that my creativity would be my favorite aspect of life. It just happened,Everytime I got a new album I’d learn every lyric to it.Id mentally soak and squeeze every fabric of it, I even knew what parts of which songs I’d get butterflies in my stomach too.I had been journaling since “Doug” was on Nickelodeon and that journaling transitioned into poetry which ultimately became music. It’s crazy to look back at that.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
My art is multi-layered and free flowing.I don’t live my life to be famous or recognized,I don’t do genres or follow trends,I innovate and reimagine. I am proud of the fact that I never let people define me or tell me what I can or can’t do.I don’t take artistic advice and could care less what anyone feels for it.Im excited about the possibilities of seeing more artist break from the needs to serve their gifts on a platter for some faulty manager to eat off of. I got where I am today by hugs, by smiles,by being in the community,by kindness and by never giving up. It’s never easy when you have to live a regular life and do music, but that’s why i have so much gratitude towards being a musician. People don’t know what it takes,it’s one of the main reasons i refuse to let anyone coach me. I have enough hands in my pocket.This music thing is mine.

I overcome challenges by experience. I also don’t get too high nor low.I stay in the middle as much as possible.Its just safer that way.My brand “Air Thang” is a safe space to be who you want! My canvas is so huge that I can paint on it endlessly.I love the imperfect doodles all around it and I love the sometimes barely mixed adlib or the off putting loudness here or there. Lets add some more creamer to this coffee type vibes ,and all that.The brand was started by myself and Cherry,in 2022 and it has gone on to release tons of music and throw tons of events all throughout Dallas with artists like Whitney Antwine,Oddy,Choice,Viktoria Silk,Sable Breeze,and other locally loved talent.All of our events are just massive love fest that strip away the Ego.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
Hmmm…great question! Let’s see! For breakfast we’re definitely hitting up Opening Bell. Coffee in Deep Ellum because the vibes in there are top tier.Theres so much down there in that hidden basement as well.Its a must for him to see.We would hit up Sidecar Social in Addison to get drinks in the afternoon and that would be a double date.There’s too many cool things out here to name

I’d love to dedicate this to my wonderful girlfriend and manager Maytee Berumen aka Cherry Iced Tea. For being the most loving and sweet human ever. She is one of the catalysts in my life when it comes to wanting to better myself. Love her dearly
