We had the good fortune of connecting with Mr. Richard Soto-Llezeth and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Mr. Richard, is there something you can share with us that those outside of the industry might not be aware of?
Most Barbershops don’t teach their team any cutting techniques that improve their skill set. Usually the barber with the most experience makes the most money. We put an end to that at The Cutting Room Barber Salon.
Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
We are a high end Barbershop where we emphasize on education that makes break throughs in skill level a regular thing for our barbers and stylist.
We see a common problem among other high end shops, they dont care for their teams enough. Most service providers get minimum hourly pay, coupled with no education.
After training my team for three years, I have learned that it’s hard to clone yourself. Our training will glow with meaning only to those who see themselves as artist, using hair and clippers as their medium.
As a stylist or barber, if your only concern is money. You won’t make it. They have to have a passion for the industry. They must take thier work serious and the money will follow as a by-product.
We want to leave a legacy and alumni of incredibly successful barbers and stylist. We will perpetuate a culture that expands by teaching our standard of barbering whole heartedly.
Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
First we would need to go get some brunch from “Fixture”.
Then some amazing coffee from “Cherry Coffee”
We could have some wine over at “The Magnolia wine bar”
Have a fun time at The Escape Room in downtown Fort Worth.
Enjoy the high energy and Mexican food at “Chimys” during a game.
We can go undercover at “Thompsons Bookstore” and have a cocktail in their speakeasy.
Go see the biggest TV in texas at “Texas Live” and enjoy a cold one .
And of course our Barber Salon, where you will most likely get the best cut of your life. Also you never know who your going to meet right next to you.
If we want to mingle with the who’s who in a low key place. We can head over to “The Boiled Owl”
We should try to get into town during Arts Goggle. It’s an all day event everyone should experience. Food, Music, and all kinds of art.
Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
My wife Vanessa Soto, she believed in me when nobody else did.
Also my team of amazing barbers and stylist. Alexis Chapa, Marie Zumpano, Jordan Rexroad, Colby Colberg
