We had the good fortune of connecting with Morgan Padgett and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Morgan, what are you inspired by?
I could go on and on about this topic…but the one thing that really inspires me and pushed me to open my own firm is the passion, drive, and perseverance people have for starting a business and making it successful. Don’t get me wrong, it’s absolutely terrifying to start a business, be responsible for others by providing a job, and going out there and successfully signing new clients. However, at the end of the day knowing others have done it, failed at it, but got back up and then crushed their goals is so inspirational. It isn’t a one-time obstacle, it’s something you have to work at every day to make sure you continue to grow, and that’s something I want to say one day, that I have successfully mastered over and over again and continue to master daily. The end reward for us is knowing we have provided a service to a client and helped their business grow as well. A great quote we at Simply the Best like to say daily, “ If it doesn’t scare you, you’re probably not dreaming big enough. ”

What should our readers know about your business?
Simply the Best Bookkeeping & Business Solutions evolved out of my love of numbers and wanting to help small businesses. We pride ourselves at Simply the Best for our knowledge in the roofing and construction industry. We specialize in that because it’s what our background is in. I started out with a roofing company 7 years ago and rediscovered my passion for numbers then. It was a challenging environment that taught me so much about how a business should and shouldn’t be run. I learned the type of manager/business owner I wanted to become and set out with an idea in mind and started reaching towards my goals. My biggest and smartest decision was getting set up with my business coach, she has taught me to believe in myself and helped me in reaching all the small goals that are setting me up for success. My biggest lesson so far is don’t undersell yourself, believe in what I have to offer, and put it out there! As far as the message I want the world/businesses to know…you aren’t alone, we can help you through this, and success is a team effort that we at Simply the Best strive to accomplish daily.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
We would eat all the Mexican food, go to Grapevine Main Street, Fort Worth Stockyards, grab a fresh lime squeezed margarita at Los Compadres, El Arroyo, and try a tea at H2oTea.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I have to give credit to a few people in my life. My husband and parents have been the biggest support system and have always cheered me on. I am grateful for their love and encouragement and that they support me no matter what. Jennifer, Alexandria & Shannyn, the three who have joined me on this journey and are putting their trust into me and Simply the Best! The other person I would like to give credit to is Tamika Taylor with the Evolution Collective. Everyone needs a Tamika in their corner. She has mentored and guided me the past couple of years. She helped me figure out the steps I needed to implement to move forward. It took all of these people to get where I am and I am so grateful for all of them.
