Meet Moon Taylor | State & Federal License Wildlife Rehabber

We had the good fortune of connecting with Moon Taylor and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Moon, what was your thought process behind starting your own business?
My thoughts for starting a Wildlife Rescue & Rehabilitation Sanctuary came from volunteering as an orphan bottle feeder for puppies and kittens and in my journey I found that there was such a shortage of wildlife Rehabbers, and the need was extremely overwhelming with so many wildlife needing help.
What should our readers know about your business?
I know what sets me apart from others is that I refuse to let anyone be a failure, so I’m always offering my assistance to help. I am excited and proud of my son Chris who is truly amazing at helping me with the wildlife needs.
I definitely would say it was not easy starting up my Wildlife Rescue due to the lack of support and education that isn’t available, but I knew if I was going to succeed I was going to push harder in my quest for knowledge as my father had thought me.
I knew I needed training and education so my search came from speaking with my father getting his knowledge and experience and looking for information on the internet.
As for my advice to the world would be “Never give up on Yourself or your Dreams, no matter who stands in your way”.
Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
If I was to spend time with friends, they are always asking to spend time at my place visiting the wildlife I am working with, but at the same time I would invite them to visit the Zoo’s and the Japanese Gardens.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I truly would say my greatest inspiration was from my father Eugene Parsons who had a great love for wildlife and protecting them on our family farm. My father is now with the fur angels and I miss him dearly. His great knowledge and wisdom and advice is what helps me to continue through the tough times.
