Hi Moeza, what was your thought process behind starting your own business?
Hi my name is Moeza and I’m the owner of KashmiriChaiHouse.

In my journey with Kashmiri Chai House, my vision has always been about more than just a business. It’s a heartfelt mission to connect people with the rich tapestry of South Asian flavors while infusing modern creativity into each dish. Nothing brings me more joy than witnessing people come together over our chai, savory appetizers, and delectable desserts. This endeavor is about sharing the authenticity of South Asian fusion with the world, regardless of ethnicity or background. Seeing people bond over a cup of chai or savoring our dishes fills my heart with happiness.

It all started when my mom sent me Kashmiri Chai leaves for my kids birthday party we were having. The overwhelming response and demand for authentic Kashmiri chai in the DFW area ignited the spark. During the summer of 2022, i was already happily fulfilling orders for my friends even though I hadn’t established an official brand yet. With the encouragement of my husband, we officially launched Kashmiri Chai House November of 2022.

As our journey unfolded, invitations poured in for parties, events, weddings, and more. Responding to the growing demand for savory finger foods and desserts shooters, we expanded our offerings. Today, we are your go-to destination for authentic chai, savory appetizers, and delectable desserts. We’re committed to making your events exceptional with our flavors.

As a stay-at-home mom, I never anticipated entering the event planning industry, but this venture has opened doors I never imagined. I am forever grateful for the opportunity to bring a taste of Kashmiri Chai House into your homes and hearts. Thank you for being a part of our flavorful journey!

Kashmiri Chai House is a true standout, thanks to the explosion of South Asian flavors in every dish we proudly serve. Our unwavering commitment lies in seamlessly weaving together culture, boundless creativity, and a profound passion for food to curate a truly exceptional experience tailored exclusively for you. We take beloved South Asian classics like Ras Malai and elevate them to Ras Malai Tres Leches. If you’re a Mango Lassi enthusiast, prepare to be enchanted by our Mango Mousse. Craving something unique? Dive into our distinctive Kashmiri Boba Tea, artfully infused with boba pearls and garnished with pistachios and almonds. Our goal is to introduce delightful twists, infusing the essence of our South Asian heritage into our catering offerings. The resulting fusion of flavors is meticulously crafted to be a universal source of culinary delight, cherished by all.

Our journey to reach this point has been marked by its fair share of challenges, yet every obstacle we’ve encountered has only served to fortify our resolve and resilience. Throughout this incredible odyssey, my husband’s unwavering support, and the steadfast support of our entire families have been the bedrock of our success. Setting out on this venture, we faced the daunting prospect of entering the world of event planning with no prior experience. Countless late nights were dedicated to meticulously crafting business plans, securing essential funding, sourcing top-notch suppliers and the finest ingredients, as well as curating captivating content and menus. It was a labor of love that wouldn’t have been possible without the invaluable contributions of both our cherished family and dedicated friends.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
Although I’m not originally from Dallas Fort Worth, I’ve proudly called this remarkable city my home for the past three years. During my time here, I’ve had the pleasure of discovering some truly special places that have nestled their way into my heart

Among my favorite haunts in Dallas is the historic and artistically vibrant downtown area. Strolling around Klyde Warren Park, perched gracefully atop a highway, and indulging in the delectable offerings from the food trucks that line the park has become a cherished pastime. Museum-hopping is another passion, starting with the Dallas Museum of Art and extending to the Nasher Sculpture Center and the Crow Collection of Asian Art. For an authentic taste of Dallas, we can’t resist the allure of the Stockyards, where the world’s only twice-daily cattle drive, live music, and rodeo capture the essence of Texas’ renowned livestock industry.

When it comes to satisfying my culinary cravings, I have a roster of favorite spots. For a delightful breakfast, there are enticing options like Honeyberry Cafe, Norma’s Cafe, and First Watch. Lunchtime finds us at Ricky’s, Noodle Wave, or Wave Bowl. And when dinnertime arrives, it’s time to savor some steak at Brasao Brazilian Steakhouse. To cap off every meal with perfection, we head to Big Dash for their mouthwatering kunafa dessert.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
Kashmiri Chai House owes its very existence to the support of some truly special individuals!

My incredible mom who has been my guiding light. She has not only imparted all the knowledge I needed to become the person I am today but has done so with heartfelt prayers, unconditional love, and unwavering support, even from afar in New York. Her expertise guidance, and sharing her secret recipes have been instrumental in allowing Kashmiri Chai House to bring her delicious flavors to the DFW area. I owes all this to her!

My husband, my greatest champion, believes in me more than I sometimes believe in myself. He continuously pushes me out of my comfort zone because he sees the immense potential within me. I owe a significant portion of Kashmiri Chai House success to his visionary thinking, insightful guidance, and boundless enthusiasm. He supports me in numerous ways, from watching the kids so I can fulfill orders, to helping with content creation, setting up our table displays, brainstorming and so much more! I’ve even taught him how to make a couple dishes! Kashmiri Chai House is growing because of his amazing expertise and owes him a lot of credit!

I would like to extend my heartfelt gratitude to both my family and my in-laws for their support, prayers, and love. I know they are all rooting for Kashmiri Chai house even from the distance!
