We had the good fortune of connecting with Mo Holloman and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Mo, what’s one piece of conventional advice that you disagree with?
Time management is a scam. Time is a neutral container. Energy is the current that decides what moves.

ADHD brains do not fail time. They get drained by systems designed for assembly line output and constant self suppression. My work replaces hours on a calendar with energy budgeting that honors the nervous system, hormones, dopamine windows, sensory load, and relationship dynamics.

How energy first works in real life
• Capacity before commitments. I plan for the focus I actually have, not the hours I wish I had.
• Close leaks. Invisible labor, people pleasing, over explaining. Boundaries are conservation.
• Respect cycles. Menstrual phases. Sleep. Medication timing. Stimulation thresholds. Consistency comes from rhythm, not force.
• Somatic green lights. Breath, movement, and micro rituals that signal safety so executive function can come online.
• Co regulation over willpower. Community regulates better than any planner. That is why my clients move faster inside Nice Girl Detox.

Time hacks teach control. Energy wisdom teaches power. I choose power every time.

What should our readers know about your business?
I like to say myy business is a rebellion disguised as a coaching company.

I’m an ADHD coach and energy strategist and I run Nice Girl Detox…a coaching community for who are tired of being hyper-responsible, overfunctioning, and burning out on broken time management hacks and outdated “good girl” rules.

What sets me apart? I don’t coach people to work harder, get stricter, or push past their limits. I teach them to manage energy instead of time, to build boundaries as power, and to stop betraying themselves in the name of success. Traditional coaching says “do more.” My coaching says “feel more, honor yourself, and then watch what happens.” That’s the difference.

Getting here wasn’t easy. I had to detox from my own conditioning first…the people-pleasing, the overfunctioning, the obsession with proving myself. I had to learn how to design days that feel spacious and steady, where I can get a lot done without collapsing into burnout. The hardest part was believing that slowing down could actually create more. It did.

I’m most proud of the community. Nice Girl Detox isn’t about coping with a stress-filled life. It’s about rewriting lives. Inside, women are releasing hyper-responsibility, creating cleaner relationships, and finally building routines that fit the brains and bodies they live in. That’s revolutionary.

What I want the world to know is this: success doesn’t require self-betrayal. Burnout is not a badge of honor. Or a normalized condition for living. ADHD doesn’t need fixing…it needs tools that actually match how the brain and nervous system work. My story is proof and my brand is the megaphone.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
I’m a Kansas girl at heart! From Oswego which is a town of less than 2,000. I love the city’s mix of art, luxury, and big-night energy but I also have such a soft spot for Denton, Texas. Denton is just…cool. It’s artsy, a little scrappy, full of character, and it brings out my inner theatre kid every time.

So if a best friend was visiting, I’d split the trip to give them the best of both worlds.

Day one would be all play and Denton vibes: kayaking on Lake Lewisville before it gets too hot. We’d brunch at Seven Mile Café, then spend the afternoon wandering Denton…raiding Rose Costumes, digging through Recycled Books and Records, and vintage shopping at Old Bear Vintage with a coffee or hot tea from West Oak in hand. That night we’d crank up the energy: trapeze class at the Dallas Circus Center, then wander through Meow Wolf to end the day in another dimension.

Day two would be more art and indulgence. We’d start at the Dallas Arboretum in the morning, then settle into high tea at The French Room…one of those slow, decadent experiences you never forget. From there, the Dallas Museum of Art is a must. And at night, dinner at Monarch with the city lights all around us, followed by a stay at the Thompson Dallas. Waking up the next morning for room service + a poolside cabana.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
My shoutout starts with the younger version of me…the one who said yes when she wanted to say no, who over-functioned to stay lovable and who thought self-betrayal was the price of belonging. She taught me what it costs to play small, and she’s the reason Nice Girl Detox exists.

I also have to honor the women inside Nice Girl Detox. And to my clients…they’re the heartbeat of this movement. Watching them reclaim their energy, set boundaries, and rise into their own power has been my greatest teacher.

I’m deeply influenced by voices like Jessica McCabe who brought ADHD into the light in ways that made me feel seen and gave me permission to lead boldly in my own lane.

And finally, my husband Dave deserves credit. His patience, intuition, and unwavering belief in me gave me the safety to take big risks and build this rebellious UNICORN gang inside Nice Girl Detox.

My success isn’t solo. Big love to the Nice Girl Detox community, my mentors + coaches and the love that holds me steady.
