We had the good fortune of connecting with Misty Jameson and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Misty, how did you come up with the idea for your business?
I started off running bootcamps. I wasn’t really any different from any other bootcamp. Then I decided to focus more on women’s fitness. So we kicked out the guys. LOL. We were a women’s only bootcamp- there wasn’t another one for miles away. Then as the larger bootcamps made their way into the area, I decided to share my training style with other women and converted my 3 car garage into a full gym. We outgrew it and found where we are now.

What should our readers know about your business?
Women of Strength Gym. There is nothing like us. We are women’s faith based fitness training gym. We provide a safe and fun environment for women to workout. Our personal trainers have to be Nationally Accredited. Our personalized training programs are PERSONALIZED. Clients go through a physical assessment prior to their training being designed. We then incorporate a safe and effective program based off of their goals , strengths and weaknesses. We help our clients outside the gym as well, with healthy nutrition, sleep, hydration, activity level, etc. Our approach is Habit Based Coaching which is proven to be the most effective approach for long term success. We also have group training sessions available as well.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
Downtown Fort Worth- Rodeo, Billy Bobs; , Southlake town center, for shopping.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I have to admit that a lot of the time Ive felt like the lone wolf. But I never could’ve made it without the support of my son, Blake, my best friend Julie . They not only helped carry me through all the many decisions but they’ve put in their fair share of blood sweat and tears as well. A shoutout has to go out to my clients who have stuck with me through all the growing pains. Without their love and support, there wouldn’t be Women of Strength!
