We had the good fortune of connecting with michal kolath arbel and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi michal, we’d love to hear more about how you thought about starting your own business?
OH it’s all started when I was diagnosed with breast cancer and lost one nipple after unilateral mastectomy surgery at the end of my chemotherapy so I think the process of losing my nipple was, in a way, the beginning of my business I felt so ashamed and so uncomfortable that I had to find myself a solution. Second stage was research and clear understanding that I need exactly. I had a list of requirement and from displaced I created an action list. For example I wanted the nipple to be exactly like my remaining nipple so I understood very first that I need to be a professional prosthetic artist in order to make the best matching nipples possible . I had to test hundreds of materials because I wanted them to be as soft as possible and as accurate as possible..
The whole process felt very emotional and empowering, although I have my BA in marketing and business I felt the beginning was totally driving my lost and not buy the basic I learn in Business School.

What should our readers know about your business?
The thing I most proud of is the review I get from my customers telling me it changed their lives, make them more comfortable in their body, more confident in front of the partner. being able to be a part of such a great change in women, who suffer from breast cancer, life is a big privilege for me. I feel it’s my destiny to do what I do today, and it’s the reason I was diagnosed with breast cancer when I was 32 to be able to help others

Of course having a business is not easy, being also a mom and a wife and BC survivor wasn’t always easy . but the Fact I still have such a strong passion to do what I do even 12 years after teaches me that I did good.
After I was diagnosed with breast cancer I wanted to change my life for the best, like many breast cancer survivor. one of the things was to lower stress and being able to be free to do what I love which is to create and to make art.
I manage to find my dream job.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
My best vacation start with with a yoga class, nice sun and sea, good food friends and dancing all night (well maybe not all night I’m already 47 ha ha) . I love hanging out with my family, with my husband and two sons -one was born before breast cancer and the second one after. The friend I gathered throughout the years are the best medicine I have.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I want to thank the organization “keren shemash” that believe in me when I just started my business 12 years ago, the award I got “best entrepreneur of the year”, allow me to develop my business in the right way and the fact that they believe in me gave me a strong backwind. Above that my husband who believe in me more than I believe in myself and help me throughout the Years with everthing
