Meet Melissa Langley | Hair Color Specialist

We had the good fortune of connecting with Melissa Langley and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Melissa, what led you to pursuing a creative path professionally?
I pursued an artistic and creative career in hair because it allows me to express my creativity and passion for art in a tangible way. Hair is an incredible versatile medium, and I love the challenge of creating unique, personalized looks for each of my clients. I find it incredibly rewarding to see the transformation in my clients’ confidence and self-esteem after they leave my chair with a new hair color or style that perfectly fits their personality and style. Being able to use my artistic talents to help people feel their best is what drives me to continue growing and refining my skills as a creative hair colorist.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
What I believe sets me apart from others in the world of hair is my close attention to detail. My meticulous and precise practices in creating a certain look or color always result in a stunning transformation of hair and mind. I love creating a look on my clients that beckons compliments from strangers and admiration from those who see my color placement of tones throughout the hair. I get most excited about doing hair when the look perfectly aligns with my client’s personal style whether it be a bold and vibrant shade or a subtle and natural looking hair color. My passion for hair coloring and willingness to put in the time and effort to develop skills and expertise is how I got to where I am today as a professional hair stylist. I think the hardest part throughout my career is trying to find the perfect environment to grow my business and serve my clients with the best experiences possible. Life is full of unpredictable circumstances and you have to learn to roll with the punches all while remembering that all that magic and talent you have resides within you and not a building or a company. All you need is grit and a good sense of humor and you will always land back on your feet no matter how hard the fall. What I would want the world to know about me is my dedication to my passion for making people feel beautiful runs deep within my heart. We are all beautiful and if I can help one person see just how stunning they are on the outside as well as the inside then my work is done.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
Since moving to Fort Worth I have had the pleasure of seeing the fort worth stockyards which I found adds to the charm of Fort Worth. I also have enjoyed a yummy meal at Heim Barbecue which I found to be the best. I also love taking my children to the Forth Worth zoo to check out all the amazing animal species who seem to enjoy their home at the zoo. I also enjoy Trinity tails for a nice jog or bike ride.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I would like to dedicate this shoutout to each and everyone of my clients these past two decades for their loyalty and support. Their trust in my skills as a hairstylist means the world to me, and I feel honored to have had the opportunity to work with such amazing people. I would also like to thank my clients for letting me try out new colors and techniques on their hair. It has been a pleasure to watch their hair transformations and to be apart of their beauty journey. I am grateful for your trust, your kind words and referrals to friends and family. You have all helped me grow my skill set and fulfill my passion for hair coloring.
