We had the good fortune of connecting with Megan Bond and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Megan, can you walk us through the thought-process of starting your business?
The short answer? “Why the hell not” From deciding to start my own business to actually filling my LLC only took a matter of weeks. At some level, deep down I had always wanted to own my own business, but that thought didn’t make it to my “waking brain” until the very end of 2016.

What should our readers know about your business?
One of my favorite parts of my business is helping other businesses grow. I love working with small local businesses, and being able to see the difference that I make in the growth of their business. I have worked with some of my clients for several years, and have cheered them on as they expand locations, hire more employees, or offer new services. I enjoy working with people who are similar to me, and want to grow their business into something that makes the community a better place.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
I’d have a great dinner ready for them at my house the night they get in, so we can eat relax and catch up. Since it is FWSSR time right now, we’d stop by Will Rogers and then Dickes that evening. I’d then take them out to South Main to see the Fort Worth that I love. We’d patio hop, and pick from an endless number of delicious restaurants.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I have to start my shout-out to every lady boss in DFW who has been there to support, mentor and commiserate. These women all support each other in a way that I never could have imagined. I of course am thankful for my husband and my parents, but the entrepreneurial community that I found was invaluable. I don’t come from a family of entrepreneurs, and I didn’t have any entrepreneurial friends when I started my business. This meant that while I had loving support, I didn’t have anybody who had been through the trenches to come out the other side. I’ve met a ton of wonderful women, and they are all eager and willing to help another woman succeed!
