We had the good fortune of connecting with Marlon Minnifee and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Marlon, maybe we can start at the very start – the idea – how did you come up with the idea for your business?
I initially started promoting another clothing brand. I put my all into this brand finically, mentally and emotionally. I wasn’t getting anywhere with the brand, and one day I woke up and realized all the effort, energy, time that I was putting in wasn’t being reciprocated. At that point I decided to do my own research on starting my on clothing brand The Elite Ones which has away more deeper meaning in general.

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
We are the representation of Kings and Queens who have major roles in society such as activists, humanitarians, professional athletes, and entrepreneurs. We all have different visions, we all take different paths, but we are all headed toward the same direction to be successful which makes us all an EL1TE ONE. I’m most excited about what the future holds for The Elite Ones. I prepared myself by attending Dallas Baptist University in earned my Business Administration degree. It had its challenges but challenges are there to overcome I stayed focus, determined and motivated to achieve my goals. The number one lesson I learned was no matter how hard it gets I must always look forward to accomplishing anything I put my mind to. I want the world to know that matter who are, no matter the walk of life you come from as long as you are living your life purpose you are an Elite One.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
If my best friend was visiting the area I would most definitely take them to eat at Perry’s Steak House, because they have some amazing lamb chops and asparagus. For drinks I will take them to The Statler in DownTown Dallas its a roof top bar amazing view and positive vibe. To hang out you cant go wrong with a game of paintball its a very fun and active. You would most definitely want to go back.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I a lot of family and friends support, but I have to shine the light on these few people for going on this journey with me and supporting. My grandmother Christine Minnifee for giving me wisdom that she instilled in me and my father Marlon Minnifee for the work ethic, determination and motivation.
