Meet Marlena McKnight | Licensed Medical Massage Practitioner and Developmental Alphabioticist

We had the good fortune of connecting with Marlena McKnight and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Marlena, can you walk us through the thought-process of starting your business?
I knew that God had given me a gift, but it wasn’t until I fully surrendered my life to Jesus that I understood the true purpose behind it. I realized my calling was to use this gift to help people experience healing—physically, emotionally, and spiritually. My heart is to see people live pain-free, balanced, and aligned, so they can enjoy a better quality of life and walk in the fullness of who God created them to be.

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
What truly sets me apart is my faith-driven approach to healing. I don’t just focus on the body—I focus on alignment in spirit, soul, and body. I believe true wellness comes from restoring balance in all three areas, and that’s what guides every session I offer. I’m most proud of the impact I’ve had on people’s lives over the last 19 years, helping clients not only recover from pain and injury but also reconnect with their purpose, identity and vitality.
Getting to where I am today was far from easy. Building a business rooted in integrity and faith takes perseverance, prayer, and an unshakable belief in the calling God placed on my life. There were seasons of uncertainty, but I learned that growth often comes through challenges and being willing to truly stand for what I believe in—even in the face of adversity—while trusting that God always has my best interest in mind. Every obstacle strengthened my faith and refined my mission to serve people with excellence, compassion, and Kingdom purpose.
The greatest lesson I’ve learned is that success isn’t measured by numbers—it’s measured by transformation. I want the world to know that my brand stands for holistic healing, restoration, and the power of divine alignment through Jesus Christ alone. My story is one of faith, endurance, and grace—and I’m honored to use my God-given gifts to bring lasting change to those I serve.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
A Perfect Day for a Friend in Denton and Dallas
If my best friend were visiting, I’d want them to experience a mix of rest, good food, community, and encounters with God’s presence. We’d start the day at Upperroom in Dallas, soaking in one of their live worship sets. There’s something so special about that atmosphere where Heaven feels close and worship flows freely — it’s the kind of experience that fills your soul and resets your spirit.
Afterwards, we’d head to a coffee shop to Yeshiva, read a devotional, and maybe dive into the Word, enjoying the quiet intimacy of discussing Scripture and reflecting on what God is speaking to our hearts. These conversations, full of questions, discoveries, and personal revelation, are always some of my favorite moments to share with a friend.
We’d also make time for a little self-care and reset, perhaps stopping by my studio for a Bemer session or alignment, giving them a firsthand experience of Kingdom wellness and renewal.
We’d explore historic downtown Denton, visit my church Ultimate Life which is downtown, and, if possible, try to take in a night of worship at Mercy Culture in Fort Worth. We’d also enjoy some live music — I love taking friends to local shows, especially when it’s my friends who sing and share their gift of live music. There’s nothing like connecting over talent, creativity, and passion.
This itinerary balances worship, conversation about the Word, laughter, and genuine rest — a trip designed to leave my friend refreshed, inspired, and reminded of the beauty of God’s presence in everyday moments.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
As I celebrate 19 years in this journey, I recognize that none of this would be possible without God’s mercy and grace. I want to extend my deepest gratitude to all of my clients who have trusted me with their care and shared their experiences through referrals and kind words. Your continued support has been the heartbeat of my business. To my friends who have stood by me with encouragement and faith, and to Lakecia McGlothen, thank you for pushing me, believing in me, and reminding me of my purpose. None of this would be possible without each of you.
