Hi Marion, what habits do you feel helped you succeed?
I believe being professional prompt not procrastinating and having goals and never giving up on my goals continuing to strive despite any obstacles that may have come my way has helped me be successful

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
I am a former employer of the department of family and protective services. I am currently transitioning to Empower to become a Permanency Case Manager the companies mission and vision is devoted to the Strength of family. To provide excellent service in education and advocacy to strengthen families. The values of the company are based on child safety acceptance leadership quality integrity and family. I was educator for 16 years I always wanted to help others so it was easy for me to transition into the social work field i was raised by my grandparents as a child I had experiences with neglect being able to help other children overcome the same obstacles that I experienced has been an inspiration for me to continue my journey to be an advocate for children

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
I love a good brunch I would take my friend to Vickery park in the downtown Plano area. I would take my best friend to the down Dallas area to visit the local restaurants and enjoy the outside views I would take her to Nobu in the uptown Dallas area because of my love for sushi and they have the best sushi there

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I want to give thanks to my Aunt Penny Elarms who has encouraged me to strive and always do better. She encouraged me to get into the field of social work. She worked in the field of social work seeing her dedication love and compassion inspired me to want to do the same. I also want to thank my grandmother Margie Elarms who is no longer here but raised me to be strong have morals and always respect others she worked as a dietitian for 30 years I saw her strength and dedication to help others which inspired me as well
