We had the good fortune of connecting with Mariah and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Mariah, what led you to pursuing a creative path professionally?
One of my favorite things in this world is art.
Whether its drawing, dancing, fashion or cinema. I love the power art it self holds.
I like how it makes people feel seen and understood. I also love the beauty of how it brings people together.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
I absolutely love doing what I do. I have an obession with clothing & fashion in general.
My vision with Girlz World happened in 2021,I had just decided to rebrand.
I had a perfect vision of what I wanted my shop to look like aesthetically and my inspiration for that was from Lisa Frank and Bratz. Two Brands that I was obssesed with growing up.
I reached out to Michael Slater @Slaterthrifts to help me with my logo & he made exactly what I had invisioned.
I wanted my shop to be a place where everyone feels welcomed & seen.
I view fashion/clothing as an art form so even if someone is wearing an item that I personally wouldn’t wear. I still see the beauty in it.
I respect & love all different styles of fashion.
I like being able to sell unique and eccentric pieces that you can’t just find anywhere.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
Well I would first start out with going to shop at any local markets, such as The Underground Market or even a Common Hearts Market! After that I would suggest us to go eat at this amazing Mexican cuisine in Downtown Dallas called Señor Bean.
They have the best food & drinks!
After since we would be close I would take a nice walk to Kylde Warner Park.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I would say when I first started doung markets about 4 years ago now. I was a little nervous and anxious about stepping into a whole new enviorment & @agu_.sports was always someone who made me feel welcomed and was always there to give positive energy. I think he’s great at what he does, loves the hustle & is just a good humble individual.
