We had the good fortune of connecting with Margie Green and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Margie, can you talk to us a bit about the social impact of your business?
I help people build wealth by educating them about homeownership. Most people have so many mixed ideas about the process and are fearful of the process but it doesn’t have to be so challenging with the right guidance.

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
Easy did not exist when I first started in the professional world. I was jumping from interview to interview in my original field of study and after a few months of being denied and eating ramen noodle special every night, I was encouraged by my family to get certified as a loan originator to start my venture as a professional in the mortgage industry. This was only the first hurdle I had to jump, and soon after I was thrown right into being a loan originator with no proper training or resources to start. With enough trial and error, I was able to get on my feet, learn how to be proficient. After 8 years in this practice, I can say that I am very fulfilled in what I do and am fully confident in handling any scenario thrown at me.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
Legacy west is the place to be for sure! The perfect day consists of taking a stroll down legacy west, visiting some gastro pubs, fine dining, and shopping all the lux. If I’m not there you can find me at my all-time favorite lunch spot R+D Kitchen; I like to take my agents here when I can. Next stop to be is having some cocktails at the Tompson hotel rooftop and the perfect way to end the night is some delicious tapas at Bulla followed by some wild cocktails at Kai. You will defiantly find yourself saying “Should we have another one”?

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I was fortunate enough to have real estate agents in the family that have introduced me to the lending world.
