Meet Marcus Parker: Trainer, Motivator

We had the good fortune of connecting with Marcus Parker and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Marcus, is your business focused on helping the community? If so, how?
My business helps the community by combining motivation and emotional healing in an educational/entertaining manner. I have been a school speaker and youth motivator for years and found that most people struggling with getting over trauma and emotional triggers from their pasts. I am an Air Force vet who went back to school (University Of North Texas) at 40 and I had special interest in learning more about Emotional Intelligence. I then put all that I had learned into a book called ” Find the Lie and Fix the Problem”-a tool for emotional healing. My latest project is called “The Emotional Healing Toolbox” which is a resource via one link which connects the person to Training classes, ebooks, audiobooks, videos, and motivational rap music all connected to everybody’s favorite digital distributors such as Udemy, Spotify, Youtube, Amazon, Tidal, Google Play and many more……. Hopefully, the positive messages and motivational healing will benefit many people during these uncertain times.
Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
I have been committed to creating something that was unique and effective. Started with a motivational, inspirational book in 2004, which evolved into school speaking, which evolved into motivational rap music, which evolved into emotional healing which evolved into a collection of motivational/healing tools via the link. Fun Fact: I was actually a Dallas morning news bestseller at the same time that Barrack Obama was a national best-seller years before he became president.
Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
I’m a bit biased but me and the wife like “Bombshells” as a hangout in Dallas on I35. Of course they have a cool atmosphere, but I love their boneless wings. But we also are park lovers who often take the kids to various parks throughout the metroplex. We have some beautiful parks here. My wife and I had our very first date at the Pappadueax’s in uptown, so we occasionally visit and laugh about how far we’ve come as a couple.
The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I want to dedicate my shoutout to my family. I have to say that my wife and four children are the source of my daily motivation. They have taught me the true meaning of love. When I look at my children I can see different parts of myself in each of them, different strengths and different challenges. They are my heros because they are the reason that I work so hard.
