We had the good fortune of connecting with Malcolm Liverpool and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Malcolm, what’s the most important lesson your business/career has taught you?
Believing in myself is the most important lesson I’ve learned since starting my career. No one likes to be uncomfortable, and the unknown is uncomfortable for most people. The hardest barrier for me to get over starting out, was getting comfortable with the unknown and the unpredictable. I had to get comfortable with failure, and getting comfortable with failure was something new for me. But I don’t look at failure as defeat, I view it as a learning experience. Failure has taught me my greatest lessons. If you want to be a good winner, you have to be a good loser. And in order to be a good loser, you have to believe in yourself. Over the past couple of years, I’ve realized that I was the only person I ever needed. I used to delegate task out to other people, but I’ve since shifted to doing everything unaided and without assistance. And I’m doing it well. All it took was me shifting my belief system into believing it could do anything I put my mind to. This alone has given me entirely new sets of skills that I wouldn’t have been able to attain otherwise. I’m very ambitious, so my drive to succeed makes it relatively easy for me to overcome my obstacles. I’m extremely focused so problem solving comes second nature to me, and I don’t take no for an answer. My business has taught me that my thoughts control my reality and as long as I believe in myself, I can achieve anything I want to.

I think the thing the thats sets me apart from others is my balance with mind, body, and spirit. My spiritual practice is my base. I do crystal bowl sound meditations very morning for 30 minutes, and meditate for an hour every Full Moon or New Moon. I stretch for 15 minutes daily. I fast for 7-10 days, twice a year. I always process my feelings and never bury them. I have a manifestation ritual that took me 2 years to perfect, but its a daily practice for me now, and it’s always on the schedule. I constantly test my mind, always pushing to take myself to the next level. This year, I discontinued all of my streaming services so I could have more time to focus on my studies. I view TV as an unproductive distraction and decided to eliminate it from my daily activities. This mental hack alone has increased my productivity by three times. I have so much time to study and practice my craft now! I black out from social media 60 days out of the year because occasional solitude is healthy. I spend an hour reading everyday. I also pay attention to my physical health. I do everything naturally. I don’t even drink protein powders. I’ve been strength training for several years, and plan on releasing an Online Strength Training Program later this year. I get all my cardio from Boxing and Muay Thai, and I’m a Pescatarian that eats 4-6 pounds of vegetables daily. I take extremely good care of my temple, and I LOVE to teach! So if you ever want free advice or help on the subject matter, please feel free to reach out to my social media channels and I can guide you through the process there.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
Oh wow it’s been so long since I’ve left my house because I’m always working on making my dreams come true! The last time I left my home was for Belize for my birthday. I’m an artist first, so any art galleries or any artistic environments downtown will usually satisfy me. I’m a huge seafood person, so sushi is my go to. I love Nobu and Uchi. Shinsei is pretty good too. I also love crab legs, and the city has several crab joints you can choose from, like Crab Station and Red Crab. If I needed to entertain a homeboy, I’d take him out to Tight Ends in Frisco because… You’d have to see it for yourself. I like parks! I take my dog to Whiterock Lake and Katy Trail a lot. I’ve got a Rottweiler named Rocky. I’m really aggressive and I like to fight so I go to the boxing gym a lot. I love painting at my art gallery. I love dancing with my dancing coach. I hope I’m not boring you… I see my friends once a week and it’s very briefly because I always like to get back to work. My work is my passion so it doesn’t feel like a job to me, and I don’t want to force my friends to work for free. Most of the stuff I do, I do by myself, so I’m probably not the right guy to get a club or concert venue recommendation out of. My bad.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I want to make a shout out to the Universe. The Universe has given me so much and taught me so much over the years, and I want to thank It for giving me such an incredible life.
