We had the good fortune of connecting with Lucky Gordon and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Lucky, we’d love to hear more about how you thought about starting your own business?

The decision to start my own business focused on designing custom uniforms for the hospitality industry was rooted in my design and manufacturing background and a thoughtful analysis of the market needs and trends within this sector. Let me break down the thought process.

Before diving into this venture, I founded two contemporary fashion collections that were sold at many upscale retailers nationwide- including Neiman Marcus, Saks Fifth Avenue, and Nordstrom to name a few. I was very familiar with the world of garment design and manufacturing. But uniforms are a very different product, so I conducted extensive market research to understand the challenges faced by the hospitality industry in this area. I found that standard uniform offerings were often generic and, on the opposite end, custom offerings were too expensive.

Our company signatures are: affordable custom design, quality product, and quick turnaround. Brands can also easily adapt their custom uniforms to match seasonal or thematic changes without a complete overhaul. Once the design and product is established, the uniforms are always available to them. It’s one less thing that they have to worry about.

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
What sets us apart from others in the custom uniform business is our unwavering commitment to excellence and innovation. We are also uniquely positioned with our factories to take on small orders and execute high level garment design.

Our greatest source of excitement and pride is the trust our clients place in us. We are privileged to partner with businesses that understand the power of a well-designed uniform and an efficient manufacturing process. This trust inspires us to push the boundaries of what custom uniforms can be, bringing creativity, functionality, and a keen eye for detail to every project.

Our journey to where we are today has not been without challenges, especially during Covid- 19, when the hospitality industry shut down. Surviving meant navigating a recovering market, managing the complexities of supply chain, and meeting diverse client demands. It was not easy, but our passion and dedication kept us going. We overcame challenges through perseverance, a commitment to continuous improvement, and a focus on fostering strong client and factory relationships.

One critical lesson we’ve learned along the way is the importance of understanding that a uniform product is distinct from a fashion garment. Uniforms must not only look stylish but also serve a practical purpose, meeting the specific needs of various industries. This understanding has driven us to develop uniforms that strike a perfect balance between aesthetics, fit, and functionality.

What we want the world to know about our brand is that we are more than just a uniform company; we are a partner in helping businesses elevate their brand image and employee satisfaction. Our story is one of passion, innovation, and a relentless pursuit of excellence in uniform design and business practice. We are also dedicated to creating cost-effective uniform solutions that go beyond the ordinary because we want this service to be accessible to a range of business. We want the world to know that our brand is synonymous with quality, creativity, and exceptional service, and we are here to help businesses make a lasting impression through their uniforms.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
My itinerary would be based on my best friend, who is my twin sister. She would likely come with her family, who would be visiting from Austin. Since there are kids involved (including my 5 and 2 year old), favorite spots include the Dallas Arboretum, The Ft. Worth Zoo, the Perot Museum and Cowtown for day trips. We all just went to the Texas State Fair and had a blast! Dining involved Terra at Eataly for brunch and Uchiba, El Carlos Elegante, and Celebration for dinners. hanging out at the local parks is always fun for the kids and if we want to get some adult R&R, the Spa at the Joule is always a nice splurge!

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
