We had the good fortune of connecting with Lorrie Strohecker, Chaney Lewis, and Morgan Taton, and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Lorrie, Chaney, and Morgan, what’s something about your industry that outsiders are probably unaware of?
Most popular candle companies are not clean burning, and their candles contain toxins. We believe in our products so much not just because of our luxury fragrances and aesthetic, but because we strive to make our candles as clean burning as possible by using all natural ingredients every chance we can. Our thought process was why work so hard to find safe and non-toxic household cleaning items, only to have your candles bring toxins back into your home.

We have dedicated our business to bring you products you can feel totally comfortable bringing into your homes and around your loved ones. Even as we branched into new classifications like diffusers and room sprays, we kept these as clean and safe as our beloved candles. It became clear to us very early on that not all candles are created equally, and we wanted to use only the best of the best ingredients for ours.

It’s also interesting to note that many candles are not hand-made or hand-poured, and that in staying true to our family and small business roots, we made sure that no matter how much we grow, we will always offer only hand-made products. The science behind making a great candle has many layers, and takes a ton of trial and error. From finding the perfect wax (we love our coconut soy wax blend) to burn well with the perfect wick, to pouring the perfect ratio of fragrance to give you the best hot throw and even burn, every aspect of making you a candle we can be proud of takes research, time, and lots and lots of patience.

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
We started making candles on a whim, when looking for a nice, clean burning luxury candle that smelled great, and realizing this was hard to find. After much trial and error, we figured out not only did we enjoy making candles, but that we had a pretty great product to boot.

Then Little Pink Farmhouse was born, and launched in March of 2020. Named after the little pink farmhouse Lorrie’s great grandmother owned in Texas all those years ago, we wanted our product to bring the same feelings of warmth and home to customers as this did for us.

We learned quickly to rely heavily on Lorrie’s many years of past business experience, success and ownership. We focused on Morgan’s many years of sales experience in the fashion industry to grow sales and get our name out there, and used Chaney’s incredible creativity, youth, and overall passion for the company to find and make the best line of candles we could. Using each individuals skills to the best of their ability is what we contribute much of our success to.

We are beyond proud to be a women and family run business, and contribute much of our strength to all the strong women in each one of our lives. We wanted to be a proud of our product as these women were of everything they accomplished and overcame. That being said, we strive to make only the most top of the line, luxury products you can find, and work vigorously to keep them as all natural and clean burning as possible.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?    DFW has so much to offer, the options are endless! I would definitely tell a friend about all the amazing places to eat and shop! For shopping, you really can’t beat Northpark mall. You could start the day with mimosas and brunch at Breadwinners and shop til you drop after that! I also love St. Bernard Sports on Lovers, and you can actually pick up your favorite LPF candle while you are there, then grab some great sushi at Shinsei. I would also tell a friend to spend some time on Greenville Avenue, enjoying the fun patios and nightlife. Dallas has so many great Mexican food restaurants as well, Glorias is probably my favorite. I would also tell them to head up north to my neck of the woods though, in Frisco! The Star in Frisco is such a cool spot to eat and hang with the whole family, as well as the Shops at Legacy. They would definitely need to hit Legacy Food Hall, where you can literally find any food you could want, sip a great cocktail, and find a live cover band on most nights of the week.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I owe a lot to all the women in my life. My sisters who have all been through so much in life and came through it all, my newest sister Morgan who has helped me become a kick-a** business woman, and of course my mom Lorrie who showed me fearlessness in that starting over at any age is possible. Also my grandmother and great grandmothers, who I’ve known only through stories, one of which owned the Little Pink Farmhouse we named our company after. All of this has inspired me to take charge of my own future! – Chaney

For me, I owe everything to the proud Texas women who came before me. My great grand mother who owned the Little Pink Farmhouse, my grandmother who grew up in the Little Pink Farmhouse, and my mother who taught me what it is to be a kind person. All these women instilled in me creativity, to love art, and to strive for success, but not be afraid of failure. “If I fail, it’s only money. I’ll make more.” To my daughters and daughter in law, who keep me young and laughing, and who I get to share my goals of success in business with. -Lorrie

My husband’s support has meant the world to me as I decided to join LPF as an owner, and work to grow the brand full time. Without this, I wouldn’t be able to juggle work, kids, and home life with the balance we have. Also, to Chaney and Lorrie, for being creative and passionate enough to start such a wonderful company, with such amazing products it inspired me to join them in this journey. I love getting to work with them! – Morgan
