We had the good fortune of connecting with Logan Thomas and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Logan, what’s the end goal, career-wise?
My whole life’s goal is to help others in ways that they can’t or don’t know how to help themselves. That’s one of the reasons why I chose this career path. I get to make individuals dreams become a reality with the designs and visions they have for their space. My end goal and where I want to be professionally by the end of my career is just to know that I made an impact on individuals lives whether it’s with designing, or just personally.
Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
I went to college for interior design because ever since I was a little girl, I knew I wanted to be a interior designer. After I graduated, I got a internship at a firm in Dallas Texas where then after a few months I got hired on as a interior designer there, which is where I’m currently working. The way everything fell into place after graduation was definitely Gods doing. I’ve been so blessed to be given the opportunity to work for such an amazing company, and given the chance to do residential and commercial design straight out of college. Yet I am still learning, and still gaining experience, I give everything I do my all. I’m still fresh in this industry, but everyday I take everything I learn and put it forth in my work. Theres so much to know in this field of work, and even after experience I will still continue to learn everything I can to become the best at what I do. I’ve always been the type of person who doesn’t stop when things get hard, I will push through. I always have had such a bubbly, outgoing, and positive personality which honestly makes it hard to even allow negativity into my life when things get difficult. I always keep my head up and vision the end goal and how it’s going to be accomplished. With being new in the industry, still learning, making mistakes, and hitting highs and low points, it just makes me what to push further and harder to be the best I can. Having a company that truly supports you and individuals in your life who are there just is such a blessing.
I can’t wait to see the growth of my experience and knowledge of the industry to flourish.
Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
I live for trying new things, going new places, and just living life to the fullest. So for a weekend trip, the itinerary would be starting our day off at the yoga class that’s offered at Klyde Warren Park in Dallas on the courtyard area, just starting our morning bringing peace and happiness to our lives. After, we would go and get breakfast to continue our morning happiness. From there, after our stomach settles, we would go to John Reed Fitness in Dallas to experience the luxury of that gym and take in how gorgeously designed it is. Later in the day, we would end our night at dinner at Paradiso in the Bishop Arts in Dallas. The visual representation of this restaurant is stunning, the food and drinks are amazing, and it’s such a vibe for the night. From there on the following day, I’d let you experience the Dallas Farmers Market, and all that comes with that from the food, drinks, pop up shops, the music, and more! For the rest of the trip we’d just experience and go to new places I haven’t been to as well.
Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I am grateful to have many individuals who have been by my side and supported me. The one person that deserves absolute recognition for his part in helping me get to where I am today is my uncle, Michael Thomas. He’s been such a leader, and has been the one person I’ve leaned on just knowing I’ll get the guidance I need and just enough help to be able to guide myself. He definitely deserves credit!
