We had the good fortune of connecting with Logan Ryan Skloss and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Logan Ryan, why did you decide to pursue a creative path?
I always loved music, and writing songs. Starting a band and performing them live, was the next logical step. So, I released my first single, Buenos Noches in 2017, with great feedback, and support. I have since released 4 other singles, with a new single being released Feb 25th 2022, and an EP coming soon! I like to think that my music helps folks get through their day and maybe have some fun. overall I guess I do it because I love it, if other people enjoy it, then that’s the icing on the cake!

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
People have always said I have a unique voice, and I know I don’t have the most amazing range, but I have authentic lyrics, a story to tell, and real country music backing me up. I started playing in bands at the age of 15, but I sang and wrote long before that. The hardest part of starting a band for me, was finding talented players who share the same vision as me. Who are also willing to practice & perfect our craft, you just gotta keep going till you find the right people.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
I’m from South Central Texas, so I may not be the best person to ask on what to do and where to go, but I definitely have a blast at the Stockyards. I’ve met a lot of really cool people there and made some lifelong friends.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
The support of my family, friends and fans is very important to my success, I’ve been blessed to have a great circle around me. My Dad, Leroy Skloss, has been a Karaoke DJ most of my life, he took me to a lot of his shows so I grew up in the honky tonks basically.
My Mom, Mistie Skloss. She’s a big supporter, & encourager, helps with the bookkeeping aspect, & helps in the registration process of new releases.
My Step Dad, David Moore, who is a big supporter as well, and my awesome sound engineer.
All of my Aunts, Uncles, & Cousins – Way too many to list by name. They come out to all my shows, and share my music with their friends and extended families.
My first band members, and all the Fill in musicians that have ever played, or supported me, I wouldn’t be where I am without them all.
David Beck, he recorded my EP, that’s being released soon. He taught me a lot, and has introduced me to some pretty great people to know in this business.
