We had the good fortune of connecting with Logan Estrada (Mogli) and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Logan, how do you think about risk?
I believe taking risks is essential to personal growth! When you take risks you step out of your comfort zone and succeed or fail. Whether you succeed or fail you will still learn something. If you fail take a moment to realize what you did wrong and use that to your advantage! Most people choose to not take risks because they’re afraid of failure. Not taking risks will leave you stagnant and in the same place you started at. I’ve taken risks in my career and life by forcing myself to be in situations I wasn’t comfortable in. I wanted to progress and become better but the only way I could do that was to make myself vulnerable and risk it for the biscuit as I always say. For example with Djing live you need to be able to read a crowd. You might think the next track you’re going to play is going to be a hit…. But you don’t know if you should play it or not because of how the crowd will react… This is where taking risks comes into play! You have to be willing to be uncomfortable and do whatever it is you want to do! Don’t ever hesitate, always full send it because you never know what the outcome could be.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
I take pride in trying to be as unique and original as possible with my art. By doing so it has got me to where I am today. My road to success hasn’t been as easy or as hard as others in this industry. I’ve overcome many different challenges and hardships through the years but I wouldn’t take them back for anything. The challenges I’ve faced have made me see the future I strive for as well as the future I could have if I don’t focus on my goals 100%. One of the biggest words of motivation I’ve ever received is “don’t ever stop striving for a future that seems out of reach. If you’re dedicated and put at least 10,000 hours into your craft, business, career, etc, success will be inevitable.” The Mogli project has been a long time in the making and I want people to understand what exactly Mogli represents. Mogli represents being a “lone wolf” in a scary unusual world that you’re not supposed to be in. But even in this scary world, you can have the greatest adventure of your life with unexpected guests along for the journey.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
First things first Dallas skyline with brunch downtown. Then I’d move down the street to Deep Ellum, go bar hopping, and explore all Deep Ellum has to offer for the day. After Deep Ellum, I’d head over to Zoli’s NY Pizza in Addison for some of the best pizza and burgers in the DFW area. Later that night we’d head on over to The Green Elephant for a show thrown by HAM promos, listen to some super talented locals playing EDM, and have some more drinks.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I want to make a special shoutout to H.A.M. Promotions. This team has been doing everything they can since the start of the Covid pandemic to provide a safe and responsible atmosphere for the Dallas EDM community. Seeing how they responded to the pandemic and the proper actions they took to slowly bring back live shows has made me gain so much more respect and appreciation for everything they’ve done for not only myself but the Dallas EDM community as a whole.
