We had the good fortune of connecting with Lisa Hamilton and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Lisa, how do you think about risk?
Life entirely is about taking risk, if you aren’t taking risk you are not living is my little motto. Entrepreneurship forces you to take risk every single day, some more unexpected than others. The unexpected ones just seem to teach you more of a lesson and show you what ‘trial and error’ is all about. Risk taking has put me in some really amazing positions and put me in rooms with people i never imagined i would even share words with in this life time. I have had some hard losses as well, it’s those same hard losses that made room for more amazing things to make it’s way into my life which i am grateful for.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.

Mirror Reflections by Lisa Renee was hand crafted to cater to restoring all confidence and self-love within each divine soul that i encounter. Each handmade or customized product was crafted to reflect the inner you and help restore that self-love you may have lost and having trouble to find again. The owner, me of course , gained my fire through one of the toughest fights in my life. Battling through some of my most arduous hurdles searching for my own self-love, battling grief & loss, even anxiety & depression. What started as a DIY project lead into my own self-love and personal healing. And then i knew… i had a mission to reach the world.

The Vision: I am dedicated to healing not only the world, but the humans who occupy it, from the inside out.

The Mission: My mission is to bring more love, self-love, self-reflection and creative art to this world in my own way!

Business overview: since operations have began 4 years ago, I have increased revenue year after year, with anticipation that sales will continue to trend upwards. I also have included many new products into my offerings, with more to come as I continue to expand. I plan to incorporate monthly art classes into my business when i secure my physical store front. Each class will seat about 15 students to start, increasing to 25 students once I expand.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
I don’t get out very much but, brunch is always on the menu for any outing or occasion Yolk is always a fav, snooze and breakfast brothers in Arlington. Other places to eat would be Eddie V’s, Texas Road House, Ramen, Pho, .. endless places I love to eat! One thing we will always do is eat great food lol. As far as other little spots to check out really depends on the friend I am entertaining and what they like! Generally everyone likes bars these days so wonder bar is always somewhere I like to take my visitors, barcaidia, Tru kitchen, important land marks and whatever else they would like to experience.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
First things first, my God is an awesome God and absolutely nothing I have accomplished has been without him! Every single day i live and breathe i strive to make my grandparents (who are no longer with me since age 15) extremely proud of the woman they raised me to be. They truly molded me and taught me everything about this life to prepare me as much as they could before they were so unexpectedly taken away from me. My grandmother gifted me this amazing trait called strength that has truly carried me far in this navigation of life.
I would also like to give a huge thanks to my mentor who has taught me so many things I am knowledgeable about in regards to entrepreneurship showing me the ropes and some good do’s and don’ts in this line of faithful work. Thank you for your patience and your lessons, Calvin brown owner Calvin Brown Photography.
Next I would like to thank and shoutout the amazing woman boss I look up to each and everyday who leads an amazing example of a woman in business for herself, LaRussia Peters owner of LNP Hair Care.
Lastly I thank all of my loved ones and my true close friends for their unwavering love and support in all that I do, all things I am creating and building for my own generational wealth. I love you all, thank you so much!
