We had the good fortune of connecting with Lee Ferdinand and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Lee, we’d love to hear more about how you thought about starting your own business?
Turn my passion into another stream of income. Why not do what I love daily.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
I love photographing people and what comes with it. I love being able to show my subjects how beautiful they are, how talented they are, and how important they are through conversation and by showing them the visual representation on my large format screens. I love being able to see all of the necessary parts come together to execute the project. From creative directors, to stylists, to makeup artists, to hair stylists, to scene creators, etc

I am proud to be published in magazines such as CultureMap Dallas, International Business Times, Dallas Relocation, the Statesman and more.

I have a great circle of phenomenal people who have always had my back, who are not afraid to push me, and who do not procrastinate. I believe that it is always better when you can do things with likeminded people. I am truly blessed!

Nothing worth having comes easy! There will always be work to achieve greatness! A group of likeminded individuals will achieve greatness faster than someone doing it all alone. My lesson has always been to surround myself with positive people, who are into some form of what you are into, whom you can trust.

Photography is not a job to me, it is my passion, and my stress relief.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
LOL! I am a home body honestly, but if I were to go somewhere with friends it would be Legacy west / east to explore the food. The GrandScape also good for food and entertainment. The Bishop Arts District and downtown Dallas has some amazing places for photography.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
Absolutely! I want to dedicate my shoutout to Sherry James and Sandra Sutherland two of the most important persons in my life today. Sherry provided the tough love, the constant push and structure or process wireframe. Sandra Sutherland provided a simple name.
