Meet Lauren Burgin | Wardrobe and Event Stylist

We had the good fortune of connecting with Lauren Burgin and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Lauren, Let’s talk about principles and values – what matters to you most?
For me, the value that matters most is actually a blend of four things that guide everything I do in my fashion business: confidence, authenticity, honesty, and being genuine. I can’t really separate them—they’re all deeply connected, both in how I run my brand and how I live my life.
Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
What sets me apart is my ability to blend style with purpose. I’m not just helping people look good—I’m helping them feel good, too. As a wardrobe and event stylist based in Dallas, my approach goes beyond trends or labels. I meet people where they are in life, and help them discover confidence in their personal style—regardless of age, background, or lifestyle. Whether it’s organizing a closet, packing for a trip, or styling a major event, I aim to make fashion feel accessible, empowering, and personal.
What I’m most proud of is watching my clients transform—not just on the outside, but in how they carry themselves. Seeing someone stand a little taller or smile with new confidence because they finally feel seen and expressed through their wardrobe—that never gets old. That’s what keeps me excited every day.
Getting to this point professionally wasn’t easy. Like most entrepreneurs, I started with a vision and little else. I had to learn how to build a business from the ground up, balance creativity with strategy, and stay grounded through uncertainty. There were times I questioned whether it would work, but I always came back to my ‘why’—helping people connect with their authentic selves through style.
The biggest challenge has been pushing past self-doubt and societal expectations about what fashion ‘should’ be. I overcame that by staying rooted in my values: authenticity, honesty, and being genuine. I learned that you don’t have to fit into an industry mold to succeed—you can create your own lane.
The lesson I’ve learned is that personal style is more powerful than people realize. It’s not just about what you wear—it’s about how you feel when you wear it. And when you feel aligned with how you present yourself to the world, everything changes.
What I want people to know about my brand is that it’s not about perfection or pretending—it’s about real people, real lives, and real confidence. My work is here to remind you that your style is yours to own, and that self-expression should never be limited. Fashion is just the starting point—confidence is the destination.
Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
This is a tough one—there are so many fun things to do in Dallas! But if I’m being honest, I’d probably keep it pretty simple and low-key. I’d start with a long walk around my neighborhood—something grounding and easy. If we’re feeling a little adventurous, I’d love to head to my favorite Pilates studio, Pilates Barre. After that, we’d stop by La La Land for a fun coffee and then head home to catch up with my family.”
Brunch would definitely be on the agenda—probably with friends at La Bilbouquet or Park House, followed by a little window shopping around the area. For dinner, I’d want to try a new spot in Knox Henderson or go somewhere with a cozy, chic vibe. I’m not much of a late-night girlie, so instead of heading to the bars, I’d rather come home, unwind, and enjoy a nightcap.
The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
My family has always been my anchor. Whether it was staying up with me during long nights of planning, encouraging me when self-doubt crept in, or just reminding me of who I am when I felt lost, they’ve been my foundation. They’re the reason I dream big and work harder. So this journey isn’t just mine—it belongs to them too.
