We had the good fortune of connecting with Latosca Asberry and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Latosca, do you have a favorite quote or affirmation?
The affirmation that I use is: I am showing up as I am. What does it mean to me? I am showing up with all of my flaws.
What do you like about it? I don’t look like the average yoga teacher.
What should our readers know about your business?
Hello! My name is Latosca Asberry, a yoga teacher from Fort Worth. I created Be Self-Centered for real estate agents to manage their stress with yoga and meditation. I know and understand the stresses that they are under at times because I am also a real estate agent that deals with stress at times too. I want to hold a safe place for them.
If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
When my best friend comes to the city. We would explore the W. 7th area and Fort Worth as a whole because Fort Worth has changed alot since she and her family left. I would take her to all the cool spots in Far N. Dallas/downtown. We would take plenty of pictures.
The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
The person(s) that I want to shout out is Rebecca Butler, the creator and owner of The Sanctuary Yoga Room. She saw the vision in me to become a yoga teacher. She made my experience warm and welcoming at her studio. Missy Shaw, yoga teacher at The Sanctuary Yoga Room for also encouraging me to became a yoga teacher.
If I missed any of the ladies who encouraged me to became a yoga teacher charge it to my mind and not my heart.
