We had the good fortune of connecting with La’Tasha Queen Lewis and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi La’Tasha Queen, can you walk us through the thought-process of starting your business?
I’ve been in the hospitality industry since 2003 working with various hotels and Staffing agencies. I’ve been laid off a time or two. When the pandemic hit us in 2020 I knew that my employer would eliminate my position as Executive Housekeeper. At that particular time I had climed my way to the top of my
career path and was making a lot of money. With me remembering all of my unfortunate moments of being laid off without notice. I took it upon myself to start my own Cleaning and Staffing agency. Promising myself that no matter what no one else would ever be in control of my destiny or my children’s lively hood. I realize that not alot of people value the dedication and skills of a Housekeeper, Jantior etc. So I decide that I would prove to the world how important we really are.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
Unlike most staffing agencies that focuses on a variety of business needs. My staffing agency focuses just on cleaning needs. We only deliver what we have first hand experiences in. All things cleaned all things seen. It took me many years of paying attention, losing jobs by being laid off for me to get to where I am now.

It was hard doing the most work but only being paid the bare minimum. I want every individual out there that chooses to clean for a living to know that Queen is always in their corner. It’s my life’s mission to motivate, train, lead and develop the next generation of professional cleaners. I want to inspire them and show them that they too can be a successful individual in this industry.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
I would definitely take them downtown.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
Ms. Phyllis Koliski 1st General Manager in the Hospitality industry. Who once said without her housekeepers, she had no building.

Mr. Victor Davis My Director of Housekeeping. The first to give me a opportunity to become a Housekeeping Supervisor.
Also the first and only person to terminate me. Who once said it’s not what you do,its how you do it. It’s not what you say,but how you say it.

Miss. Livia Reaneast Nelson My late mother always taught me to look up, look down, look all around and not to forget to look behind, to always pay attention.

Last but not least my former and present employees over the cites of Little Rock,Arkansas, Dallas-Fort worth,Texas and Jackson, Mississippi. Thank you for playing a part in my career development and business development. My children Trinidee,Trinton and Trace. If I didn’t have them it would have took me way longer to become somebody.
