We had the good fortune of connecting with LanceBattalion and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi LanceBattalion, how do you think about risk?
If we never took risks we wouldn’t get anywhere. Trying to pursue a music career and taking risks go hand and hand.
Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
The amount of work that goes into making a set and putting on a show is way more difficult than any of us thought. But even through the sweat and Brock’s bloody fingers, we enjoy every minute of it. We’ve been learning the business side of the industry and there’s so many moving parts. We’ve just gotten started and got a long ways to go.
If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
The first thing we would do is go to whataburger. Then we’d go fishing and maybe take them to “the end of the world.” It’s this place where you can see over joe pool and it’s a great view. Fat Daddy’s has pool so we’d go there and hopefully watch a live show there.
Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
Lance Davis was our teacher freshman year of high school. He helped put together the band and pushed us to get ourselves out there. David Washington has been a huge help as well. He’s been booking us gigs and supporting us since day one.
