We had the good fortune of connecting with Lacey Ogden and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Lacey, every day, we about how much execution matters, but we think ideas matter as well. How did you come up with the idea for your business?
Bath Sorbet started by us making bath bombs with toys inside of them for our daughters 4th birthday party and they were a a huge hit! We invested $200 into getting supplies and began researching, testing and formulating to create the perfect bath bomb. We initially launched online and were quickly selling our products all across the country! We are passionate about sourcing the highest quality of ingredients for even the most sensitive skin.

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
After being in business for almost 8 years, we are begining to franchise our store nation-wide and we couldn’t be more excited for this new journey! It hasn’t been easy and quite honestly, creating a business from nothing has been really really hard! But throughout operating our stores, we have been committed to smart and strategic growth and have spent years perfecting our supply chain, our systems, processes, and our products. We look forward to franchising and being able to help mentor others to grow their own successful businesses where they don’t have to experience all the challenges and mistakes we made along the way.

Owning one of our stores means being at the forefront of the experiential retail movement. It’s not just about selling products; we’re curating an experience. The sense of pride our customers receive with being able to design their own custom bath, body, shower and candle products sets us a part from any other retail experience.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I know this sounds a little crazy but what helped propel our business the very most was online community. When we first started, we dove into learning everything we could about the industry. There are a lot of health standards and guidelines to abide by when formulating bath and body products but there are so many online resources that give out information and support freely. We couldn’t have done it without them!
