Meet L Rochelle Young | Owner and Lead Designer

We had the good fortune of connecting with L Rochelle Young and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi L Rochelle, we’d love to hear more about how you thought about starting your own business?
My thought process behind starting Dallas Exclusiv was rooted in my passion for creating memorable experiences and seeing the joy that well-planned events bring to people. I recognized a gap in the market for high-quality, personalized wedding and event planning and bar services that truly cater to clients’ unique visions. I wanted to build a business that not only delivered excellence but also provided a seamless and stress-free experience. I combined my creativity, organizational skills, customer service background, and New Orleans hospitality to bring this vision to life. It was important to me to create something that reflects professionalism, elegance and exclusivity, which is exactly what Dallas Exclusiv represents.
Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
What sets me apart is my passion for creating unforgettable experiences and my commitment to excellence. With Dallas Exclusiv Ltd Co., I’ve built more than just an event planning and bartending business — I’ve created a brand rooted in quality, creativity, and personal touch. I take pride in making every event feel unique, luxurious, and stress-free for my clients.
Getting to where I am today has definitely not been easy. It took a lot of late nights, sacrifices, and believing in my vision even when things got tough. Building a brand from scratch means constantly pushing through challenges like financial hurdles, competition, and self-doubt. I overcame them by staying focused, staying true to my purpose, leaning on my faith, and surrounding myself with a strong support system.
One of the biggest lessons I’ve learned along the way is that resilience is key. Every “no” just brought me closer to a better “yes.” I also learned that treating people right, paying attention to the details, and keeping your word will take you far — sometimes further than anything else.
What I want the world to know about me and Dallas Exclusiv is that we are about heart, resilience, and creating moments that matter. I’m a proud mother of two amazing sons, plus two wonderful bonus sons, and a grandmother to a beautiful 1-year-old granddaughter. My youngest son has a chromosome abnormality and autism, and because of him, I’m also a passionate advocate for special needs children. That advocacy, that love, and that strength pour into everything I do — including my business. Dallas Exclusiv isn’t just about events; it’s about celebrating life’s moments, embracing every journey, and making people feel seen, valued, and celebrated.
If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
If my best friend came to visit, I would make sure they had the ultimate experience! I would plan out a full week mixing great food, drinks, shopping, relaxation, and a little adventure.
We’d kick things off with a fine dining experience at The Vault in Mansfield — it’s the perfect way to start the trip with amazing food and a classy vibe. One day we’d definitely grab some incredible seafood at Shells and Tails 2 Geaux — their flavors are unmatched and it’s a must-try spot.
For drinks and a good night out, I’d take them to Whiskeys in Dallas for a relaxed but lively atmosphere with great cocktails. And since I love unique experiences, we would schedule a perfume class at Coco & Shea, where we could create custom scents — something fun and memorable to take home!
On Friday night, we’d definitely have to hit up Alley House in Addison to catch some live music. Good vibes, great energy, and an awesome way to enjoy the local scene. During the day, we’d do a shopping trip to Northpark Center — it’s one of my favorite spots because it’s more than just shopping; it’s also about the atmosphere and beautiful art installations throughout the mall.
To relax a little, we’d catch a movie at the B&B Theatre in Red Oak, which has a cozy, comfortable feel — perfect for a chill evening. And for pure fun and laughs, we’d spend some time at Social Cricket — it’s always a great time with good music, games, and energy.
Throughout the week, we would mix in a little exploring around the city, checking out local coffee shops, murals, and hidden gems. Dallas has such a great mix of culture, entertainment, and hospitality, and I’d make sure my best friend got a true taste of all the best parts!
Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
My husband, Ro Young absolutely deserves recognition. He has been my biggest supporter from the beginning-encouraging me to take the leap and build Dallas Exclusiv Ltd Co. Not only is he my partner in life, but he’s also my unpaid assistant 🙂 and the person who is always there to step in wherever needed, whether setting up events, managing behind-the-scenes details, or simply being a steady source of motivation. His dedication, hard work, and belief in our vision has been a major part of our success, and I’m truly grateful to have him by my side. I also want to extent a heartfelt thanks to all of our friends, family and staff who support us wholeheartedly.
