We had the good fortune of connecting with KT Dang and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi KT, can you talk to us a bit about the social impact of your business?
My Business helps the community or the world by teaching people how to properly care for their skin. Having healthy skin is essential to our self esteem and it’s important to me that everyone who walks in to my door, walks out feeling more confident, happier, less self conscious and has a better understanding of their skin type. After all, our skin is a huge part of our overall physical appearance.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
I feel really blessed to be where I am today and I’m honored to be apart of the Salons by JC-Plano Family. I’ve gotten the opportunity to meet other talented people in the industry. I’m most proud of being able to branch off on my own, it’s always a scary decision to make because it’s a risky one. I chose to start from scratch and rebuild my clientele and that for me, is a big thing. Every time someone tells me how much their skin has improved or how good they feel about their skin or how happy they are with the results due to my recommendations, It lets me know that I am in the right career.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
If my friends or relatives from out of town came to visit, I would most definitely take them to all the boba tea places around Frisco/Plano Area. I’m a big boba milk tea lover, and there are some really awesome milk tea places around here. We would hit up the Gyu-Kaku Japanese BBQ place right outside of my location, right downstairs from us to be exact. It is one of my favorite places to dine and the fact that it’s conveniently walking distance from me is a nice bonus. I also enjoy Vietnamese Food, and lucky for me, there are tons of extremely authentic and delicious Vietnamese restaurants in the DFW metroplex. Growing up in Vietnam, by the beach, I tend to gravitate towards water so I would take my friends down to Galveston to make a stop at our Southern Texas Beaches.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I want to give a shout out to my amazing husband, close friends and loving family for giving me the push and support I needed to get through. I’m still very grateful every day for being surrounded by positive people who not only believe in me but encourage me to strive for the best. If it were not for my circle of support, I would not have the courage to branch off in my own. I also want to give a shout out to my awesome clients, for trusting me, it further motivates me to continue to grow.
