We had the good fortune of connecting with Kristen Ridout and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Kristen, can you walk us through the thought-process of starting your business?
Gracefully Nested was created over 2 years ago. Years before that I started in my own home and close friends and family. I always loved helping others within their homes it just took a while for me to find my path and calling. To be completely honest I was really nervous at first. I had a full-time job and was nervous to leave. The job wasn’t the right fit for me but it was apart of the journey. I worked full-time and started my business on the side after work and on the weekends. It is rough being a wife and mom but it was worth it. I built up my clientele. There were referrals were the ones who got my business going. I am so thankful for that.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
Gracefully Nested is a Professional Organizing company. We specialize in helping others within their homes by decluttering first and foremost then organizing each space. We believe living in a cluttered home can cause anxiety and stress. We want you to walk into your home and feel happy and less stressed. We walk each of our clients through the decluttering process. It can be overwhelming when you start we will be there to help.

I am proud of this business I created from the ground up. I didn’t own a business before. I learned a lot when I first started. I had to get out of my own way at first but when I started letting go things changed. My business is thriving because of hard work. I love giving back to the community. It is a true blessing.

I would love for the world to know that our services are for everyone. We never want anyone to feel like they can’t give us a call for help. We will help you as much as possible to live a less stressful like within your home. You deserve that. It has truly been a huge blessing for our family.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
I am a Native Texan but originally from Houston. The Dallas area is still new to me there are so many neat places to visit. I truly love Downtown Celina and McKinney. There are so many different restaurants and shops to visit. I love the small town feel.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I would love to thank and give credit to my family and friends who encourage me to follow my dreams. The encouragement and support they have shown me is truly amazing. Most of all I would like to thank God for showing me what I am truly capable of. He blessed me with a gift I am able to share with others and that is something to be thankful for.
