We had the good fortune of connecting with Krishitha Pingeli & Vaishnavi Tatineni and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Krishitha Pingeli & Vaishnavi Tatineni, is there something you believe many others might not?
“Good things come to those who wait” – We disagree with this piece of advice because it downplays the importance of active effort & initiative. While patience is valuable, waiting too long can often mean that you fall behind or miss out on valuable opportunities. In our opinion a more effective piece of advice would be “ Good things come to those who persist”.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
We started our organization at the beginning of our sophomore year in high school. Originally, we both grew up in Canada, which is how we were able to meet. After moving to Texas we noticed an evident gap in access to healthcare and other inequalities in the system. Outreach 4 All was started as a way to alleviate the healthcare disparities in our community through advocacy, education, and various other projects carried out by our volunteers. Initially, we planned on only operating in Texas, however we received interest from other young people in different states/countries who wanted to start a chapter at their school. We currently have 12 chapters and 9 ambassadors internationally.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
– East McKinney for the markets, historical vibes & greenery.
– The Dallas Zoo for the unique animals & activities
– The Dallas Arboretum for the natural beauty
– Legacy West for the shopping & amazing restaurants

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
For our shoutout, we want to thank our parents for all of their support. Our parents were a driving force in getting our nonprofit started. From giving us our first dollar, to driving us places multiple times a week, their encouragement and belief in our cause, along with their dedication to helping us grow provided the foundation we needed to get started.
