We had the good fortune of connecting with Krish Sav and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Krish, is your business focused on helping the community? If so, how?
Our nonprofit, Techinance, aims to help the entire world. Due to the increased rise in cybersecurity threats, we are helping educate the common people, and more specifically high schoolers, on ways to stay safe upon entering the real world at age 18. To ensure our content is accurate and insightful, we have been working with professors from accredited institutions like the University of Alabama, in addition to university students from institutions like NYU. We want to ensure that as few people as possible suffer from phishing threats/scams that occur online, one student at a time. So far, we have expanded across 10 different countries, and within the United States of America we have expanded to over 20 states. We’ve also helped educate over 100+ students within just one week!

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
I’m a student at Walnut Grove High School, and I’m most proud about my community, who is strong in receiving help. I aspire to be a leader in helping others, and even my own classmates in High School allow me to help them when needed and are extremely positive with whatever it is. Our bond is extremely close and that is something that I’m extremely proud of. Although it was a bit difficult since I moved from Wisconsin, I have been able to overcome the challenges by making sure I’m not afraid to be afraid. That is, I tell myself that it’s alright to have butterflies when meeting new people, or doing new things, but experiences are what shape us and I want to learn as many new things as I can learn, even when they may be out of my comfort zone. I want the world to know that I’m an open person, I love to learn, and I love to help people out, whether that be online through courses or in person through serving food at the local temple. Within the fields that I’m interested in, I love cybersecurity/data-privacy, which is why I got into creating Techinance and I’ve also been able to work with my district’s technology team to create the district’s data privacy webpage!

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
My parents – they never once looked down upon me and always helped me out with all of my ventures. Whether that came at the cost of them staying up late at night while I studied or created the programs or did other things, they were always and still are always patient with me and motivate me to do even better, to create a better tomorrow that they would like to live in.
