We had the good fortune of connecting with Kojo Xi Shabazz and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Kojo, can you walk us through the thought-process of starting your business?
My thought process behind our indigenous manga company was to create stories that impact peoples lives in some shape or fashion. So I had a stories that I wanted to tell and there was alot and so I wanted to share that passion with the world. I then began to build a family and a team that also wanted to do the same thing which was create stories that are meaningful but also entertaining. Then we just continued to expand.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
The stories that I have created from AfroSeeds and Huekind and Novasotia there are more stories coming soon like the Way Of The Xi these stories are have particular symbolism and message that I wanted to deliver to the world. But again these are just some of my stories but the Mastermind Comics Family squad also has amazing stories to share and tell too and that is something that we have been showing the world about. Also I am a tribal lawyer within the Aboriginal Republic Of North America and serve people in the community as well.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
I really enjoy Downtown Dallas Kylde Warren Park. Also like going to the movies too!! Also Liberty Burger!!

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
